-Hi! I'm finally back! At this point I've given up on updating regularly, I've been traveling a lot this summer, so that messed me up a bit. So sorry this took so long, I hope you all enjoy it!-
Jimmy PoV
Who thought keeping a murderous demon-god a secret from your friends would be so hard? Not Jimmy, he didn't even know that he would have to attempt that! Fate really was cruel. Speaking of Scott, the deity wasn't making it any easier with his constant attempts to escape the medallion. Jimmy had been burned many times, often in the least convenient situations. At some point, Scott figured out how to communicate with Jimmy while inside the necklace, this made things infinitely more complicated and annoying. It was very hard to focus on school work while Scott yelled at him to let him out and kill his classmates.
Come on, just one? Please!
Jimmy groaned in annoyance, drawing several strange looks from some of his classmates. He flashed a quick smile and thumbs up before attempting to return to his paper.
No! I already told you, you have to spare everyone in this world. If you hurt any of my friends or classmates, I won't help you escape.
Fine.
Jimmy could tell Scott was sulking now. For how terrifying the deity could be, his pouting was surprisingly endearing, it made him seem almost human. Jimmy shook himself, what was he thinking? Was he really sympathizing with a demon? He tried to refocus on his work, struggling through the rest of the hour.

By lunch time, Jimmy had a splitting headache.
"You okay Jimmy? You look like you have a lot on your mind."
Jimmy rubbed his eyes, attempting a smile. It must have come off as more of a grimace, because Pearl's concern only seemed to grow.
"I'm fine Pearl, don't worry. I just have a bit of a headache, it should be gone in an hour or so."
"If you say so."
Her expression brightened as she caught sight of the two people who had just walked into the lunch room.
"Look! It's Gem and Fwhip!"
She waved at them, and Gem dragged her brother over to sit with them. Fwhip's eyes seemed to catch on Jimmy's neck. A flash of terror ran through him.
He doesn't know about the necklace. How would he know about it?
Something about the orange haired boy set Jimmy on edge.
Gem Sat across from Pearl and the two soon struck up a conversation. Jimmy shifted awkwardly in his seat. Fwhip set down his lunch in front of Jimmy, a similarly uncomfortable expression briefly on his face, before being replaced with a rather convincing smile.
"So! Ms. Terron assigned a lot of homework last night."
Jimmy nodded slightly, not particularly interested in answering. Jimmy had to give it to Fwhip, the boy was persistent. He kept trying to start conversations despite Jimmy's lack of response. It almost made Jimmy feel bad for ignoring him. Almost. Jimmy kept reminding himself how creepy it had been the other day to have Fwhip staring at him, and the way his eyes had almost seemed to be searching for the medallion... It was probably nothing.
I'll ask Scott about it later. Maybe he'll have some insight as to who might be looking for the necklace.
The rest of the day passed in a blur, and before long, Jimmy once again found himself sitting on his bed with the semi translucent form of Scott pacing in front of him.
"So..."
Scott's head snapped up, and for a moment, Jimmy thought he could see an unnatural anger behind his eyes. A second look revealed only curiosity and faint worry.
"I... I think I know why that kid was staring at the medallion."
Jimmy leaned forwards, careful to stay just out of Scott's reach.
"Go on."
Scott hesitated slightly.
"I remember, when I received my sentence, there was one council member who tried to... stand up for me. My memories are a bit fuzzy, but I think he looked very similar to Fwhip. He had a sister on the council, she stopped him from helping me. I think that was Gem. Or at least, those are their chosen names. They may be here to retrieve the necklace."
"Is that good or bad?"
"Bad. Or, rather, bad if Gem finds it. Fwhip might help me."
If Fwhip can help him escape then he won't need me anymore.
Jimmy ignored the faint hurt he felt at that thought.
If he doesn't need me, then our deal would mean nothing and he still might destroy this world. But if Gem finds him...
As much as Jimmy didn't want his world to be destroyed, there was a small, ever growing part of him that didn't want to see Scott hurt either.
"Why would they exile you and then try and take you back?'
"It is possible that they need me for something, or..."
"Or what."
Scott's eyes flicked back and forth, that same anger flashing through them briefly.
"Or, they've decided that I'm too much of a threat to be left to my own devices. Which means they will probably try to find a way to kill me."
Jimmy blinked in surprise.
"You can die?"
Scott scowled at the floor.
"No."
Dread pooled in Jimmy's stomach.
"Then..."
Scott gave a bitter laugh.
"It would be torture, for all of eternity."
He shrugged.
"Who knows, they may even decide to let me go eventually, once I'm... no longer a threat."
His lip curled up in disgust, but Jimmy could see the anger and fear in Scott's eyes. It made him feel sick.
No one deserves that, not even him.
Jimmy flopped backwards on the bed, rubbing his palms on his eyes.
"Why me?"
Opening his eyes, he saw that Scott was now standing beside his bed, a slightly amused expression on his face.
"What."
Jimmy's tone might have been a bit harsher than he ment, and he had to fight down a twinge of guilt when Scott flinched slightly.
"Nothing. It's just that... Well, you're very different from what I thought mortals would be like. In a good way."
Jimmy blinked at him.
"Was that a compliment?"
Scott crossed his arms with a huff.
"You're still dumb and naïve."
Jimmy felt his face flush.
"I am not!"
Scott snorted his disagreement, rolling his eyes. Despite how infuriating the deity could be, Jimmy found himself growing strangely attached.
I'm going to help him. No matter what. I won't let the other gods hurt him.
-Jimmy and Scott sitting in a tree t-a-l-k-i-n-g! (and refusing to admit that they like each other! Don't worry we'll get there eventually, it just might take a while.) Scott's working on not constantly trying to murder people. Honest, he's trying his best! Does Fwhip have ulterior motives? Absolutely! Also, I just watched Scott's first episode of Pirate SMP and... SCOTT AND CLEO DUO! MY FAVORITE! Sorry, got a little bit carried away there... I hope you can excuse me! As always, I hope everyone has a great day/night, you are all valid and loved. Lots of hugs, good-byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!-
