Colby groaned as he heard multiple voices in his room, most of them were stifled giggles and suppressed laughs. Why couldn't they just let him sleep?

He buried his face under his pillow, hoping they would take the hint and leave him alone. Obviously, they didn't get the memo as their poking grew in ferocity.

Realising that any chance of sleep was futile, he decided, well, was more forced, to rise from the land of dreams. He squinted at the bright light, then spotted Sam holding a camera in his hand.

"Alright, what did you guys do this time?" That only earned him more suspicious laughs that they didn't even try to hide. His eyes flicked between Corey, Elton and finally landed on Sam. "What are you doing, bro?" He smiled despite the fog in his head from only just waking up.

"I had nothing to do with this, man. I just got asked to film this." His grin only added to Colby's growing concern.

"Guys, what's that?" He pointed to an array of marker pens, varying in size and colour, sprawled across his floor.

Colby's eyes widened as he realized what they had done. He jumped out of his bed and ran to his bathroom, staring in horror at his reflection in the mirror.

The markers ran across his face: purple glasses around his eyes in thick circles, a black comical moustache running across the middle of his face and, to top it all off, a goatee that snaked halfway down his neck.

"What the-" Colby turned to the gang who had just entered after him. Corey was on the floor in a fit of hysterics. Sam wobbled the camera as he laughed.

"Welcome to the prank wars, bro." Elton shouted as Colby just stared after him in a state of shock before joining in, joking and messing around before intensely scrubbing his face in desperate attempts.

As the three slowly left the room, Sam shouted back to his friend, "Don't forget, tonight we're checking out that abandoned amusement park, so don't book yourself any dates, aight?" Colby just chuckled before agreeing to the terms.

After that exciting morning, Elton was still editing that video, getting in all the effects and comical expressions Colby made. Sam had gone with Katrina to shop at the mall and Corey was playing fortnight in their living room.

It all started in the kitchen. Colby was talking to Aaron while pouring a glass of orange juice. After explaining to Aaron this morning's prank and how he had rubbed his face raw in desperate attempts to wash away the ink, Aaron confessed he was planning his own prank on Corey.

"So, man," Colby egged him on, excited to say the least about this prank. "Is it really, like, crazy?" Aaron nodded silently while Colby grinned. Anticipation flooded him wondering if he would actually do a wild prank. Being the 'gentle giant', Aaron had earned a respectable reputation to fit that title. But from the way he was speaking he might just break that streak. "So either set glowsticks off all over his room or put googly eyes on all his stuff. What do you think?"

Colby chuckled at the typical Aaron-style prank ideas. Neither of them sounded very 'wild' or 'crazy' to him.

But his laughter died in his throat as he suddenly felt sick and dizzy. A throbbing pain shot through his head, making him groan in agony.

"You alright?" Aaron said, his voice laced with concern. Their previous conversation was forgotten in an instant. Truth be told Colby wasn't alright but what he was was stubborn; 'Nothing that wouldn't pass' and he knew that if Colby did say he wasn't alright they would call off visiting that park which Elton had hired for the night. And he couldn't do that to the group.
