A tickly feeling was sensed down on my leg, and I only looked down to find a furry white ball. Frightened at the sight, I quickly sat straight up, and rubbed my eye to get a better vision. Then I saw a snowy Van cat rubbing against my left leg . How did it get here? But by looking at the open window, everything was explained.

Stars were still glistening, and the night sky was just as dark as always, with the white flickers falling from above. Sunrise had not come yet, and the blistering cold wakened me more. What time is it? Even five yet? I finally realised that there was a phone lying in my pocket moments later. Which I've ignored for the past few hours...No wonder it felt uncomfortable when I slept...

I opened the phone, and the bright screen blinded my eyes for a second.

5:19am

41 minutes until the news unravelled...I better get ready.

Then I slipped the device back into my pocket, and got out of the creaking bed before putting on my oversized grey coat. The atmosphere was silent, just like a haunted place. Without lights, I walked to the door by touching the wall, and finally opened it with the slightest movements. But of course, it still creaked.

Out of the room, a dim light from downstairs was visible. Did someone already wake up? Out of curiosity, I silently went down the stairs, only to find Oni sitting on the couch and reading a sack of newspapers. Don't tell me he didn't sleep again...

"Morning" I first proposed.

"Morning Chika," he said back without looking up from the newspaper. Seriously, what's so attractive about newspaper these days? I feel like Oni is turning into an old man in all possible ways.

Wanting to make a conversation, I asked, "Up so early?"

"No, I just didn't sleep." He spoke. Still without looking up.

I sighed, then went to the kitchen counter to find something to eat at least. However, when I opened the fridge, there were completely nothing inside. Do those people just don't eat? With disappointment, I grabbed a mug from the cupboard and filled it with tap water to satisfy my thirst.

Before I chugged the liquid down, I asked again, "What's the point of a fridge when there's literally nothing inside?"

"Welp, as I've said before, we are moving constantly, so it's usually just take-outs for now." He answered naturally. "And Shin is waiting for you. As you might've priorly guessed, he's behind that door."

After saying so, I also finished chugging down that cup of water, and thought for a moment about how to approach Shin in this state. My hand sweated from clutching it into a fist when walking towards to entrance. With the most optimistic mindset, I knocked the door twice.

"Come in," the voice spoke with sonorous.

Anxiety flooded my body, and I opened the door, to see a miserable, tired, yet dapper-featured face. He looked up.

"So, you've finally come back Chika? That certainly took long enough." Shin commented with a half-smirk.

I tried to keep my tone and pace normal, and said "The difficulty was higher than expected, and my capability was low too...I'll take full responsibility for my actions, and punishment." Although my lies were usually see-through, with trust and acting, I'm sure this will work out just fine, right?

"Punishments? What are you saying Chika, you've done your job, and everything's just fine. Shouldn't you be granted instead?" Shin made out with a grin. It sounded like a positive compliment, but the more he said, the worse I felt.

The black-haired man then got up from his chair and came towards me. I flinched slightly when he relaxed his hand on my shoulder. Shin then leaned next to my ear, and said "It's gonna be on the news, right? Let's go see it then..." His breath was cold, and it had a cigarette smell.

As he walked out the door, I followed, and surprisingly, I found two familiar red and grey heads on the couch, backs towards us. It was Bakemono and Yokai, so they finally came. When hearing the footsteps, the trio immediately stood up, and turned to face the boss.

"Being so worked up in early morning huh? Sit down now, we'll have a little meeting to begin with." Shin announced. Then without hesitation, the trio sat back down, and I did too, with the man sitting right next to me. I checked the time again, it was 5:51 am, still 9 minutes.

Bakemono and Yokai didn't seem to be astonished to see me, they were like their normal selves. These two were like true brothers, but it was only warranted since they grew up together. Bakemono, the red-haired, had strength, and Yokai, the grey-haired, had intelligence, they were like a mastermind behind a shield.

"So, what's this meeting about?" Oni asked.

"Nothing really much, just a brief recount of events and further plans I suppose." The black-haired male answered, "Also a little discussion before we start moving this afternoon."

I tapped on my phone screen twice, it was 5:55 am.

"Well, now that Dazai is gone, the forces aren't likely to come together, so our plan will easier," Yokai added.

"Indeed, we'll be able to obtain the page in no time." Shin informed, and Bakemono only nodded during the conversation. 5:57 am.

"How are we gonna get the page though?" Oni asked.

"It's simple, no? We just need to know the location. Using our abilities and military power, it will be obtained." Bakemono finally burst out.

We all sighed, and I reminded, "It's easier said than done Bakemono. Firstly, our range of suspects is too vague, and there is a good amount of security protecting that page. Don't forget, you're not the only one who has an ability."

Then without further discussion, Shin turned on the TV, and changed the channel to 6am news. I checked the time for the last time, it was exactly 6am. The same old broadcasting voice came from the electronic.

At around 11 pm last night, a male detected to be a member of the Armed Detective Agency was found dead in his house. It's examined to be a commitment of suicide by hanging, and there were several sleeping pill bottles lying on the table in the deceased's residence.

A photo of someone who had the clothing and build of Dazai came out, but the face was mosaiced.

Members of the agency said that the man originally had mental health issues, and it was only warranted that he'd commit suicide eventually. A mournful morning had brought the members up today, and let's hope Dazai Osamu, who helped society greatly, a peaceful time in the other world.

Another photo of the agency was shown, it was everyone else in the agency looking all sentimental and covered in grief, then came several other photos when Dazai was helping citizens. If it wasn't for the organization being here, I would've burst out laughing.

The funeral of this man will be held at 8:30 am today, and let's all again, wish for the best-

Before the woman could finish the sentence, Bakemono had already shut the TV.
