Valentine's Day is on February 14th. It's also the day I'm going to officially declare my affections to Budo, my childhood best buddy. Is he interested in me? Well... That's something that I'm not sure of. I mean, he's kind, compassionate, and generous. Not to mention the fact that he had previously defended me from bullies. But he's probably only doing all of that since we have known each other since we were children. He must just see me as a friend.
But it never hurts to give it a shot, right?
As I made my way through the crowd of students, I stumbled across what everyone had been eagerly awaiting to see: it was... Budo? I grew curious. Aside from Budo, there was a stunning young lady with cinnamon brown hair and captivating brown eyes. I glanced at Budo, who was crimson with embarrassment.
"Himari-chan, will you be my girlfriend?" Budo takes out a bouquet of roses from behind him and shows it to Himari. She grinned and seized his hands in hers, holding them firmly. She looks him in the eyes and giggles before giving the answer that everyone has been waiting for.
"I will. I will be your girlfriend."
Only one student wasn't cheering when the other students began to cheer.
