The beginning of a relationship

Before starting the story I have to say a few things; First thing is: this is my first time doing a story so if it's not good I'm sorry I'm just a newbie, lol. The second thing is: I'm not American but Brazilian, and as many Brazilians don't read Brazilian stories on Wattpad, so I decided to publish in English, but I don't have much experience in English, so I'll be using my translator, so if you see
many wrong words forgive me. So that's all I wanted to talk about, so I hope you enjoy the story!

Cassie is a girl who was born in 2020, a time when covid 19 spread around the world, and her mother just after 2 months of giving birth to her ended up contracting the virus and ended up passing away; with that, his father, Peter, ended up assuming the responsibility of being a widowed father. Luckily Peter was a great robotics engineer and worked in some big film companies making animatronics for some movies, and with the money he earned he could support himself and his daughter Cassie. But Cassie felt good alone because she barely had time to spend with her father who she considered her only friend, because even though she was very extroverted at school for some reason nobody liked to be around her, and that made her very sad but when her father took her out or played with her (very rarely) she felt a lot better, not only because Peter is her father but also because she considered him her only friend. And Peter realized that, because when he always got home tired Cassie always hugged him and asked if they could play or go out, but he always replied:

-Unfortunately I can't Cassie, Dad is very tired today and needs to rest.

And Peter realizing that his daughter was very lonely, Peter was left with a weight on his conscience, and that hindered him in his work, because while he thought more about his daughter, less he built an animatronic. And with that, no film company hired him anymore, and his financial situation became very bad, because what he earned before was enough to support at least one breakfast and one dinner for him and Cassie, now he doesn't even have breakfast anymore. could support with the money he had.

After a few years, Peter even with the financial difficulties was closer to his daughter, but he had to go out to do some services to be able to have some change to buy some food, so Cassie even closer to her father still felt lonely; so Peter had an idea which was to make a robotic doll for his daughter to play with. And so Peter did. Even with some flaws in the doll, Cassie loved the doll and took her to school.

While on break, Cassie took her doll into the schoolyard and started playing with it, as unlike other kids her age (12 years old) she didn't have a cell phone to mess with, or necklaces and earrings to brag about. , but rather just a pencil and eraser and her doll.

There was a group of girls from her school who were the most popular in school, and who they didn't like (even for no reason) they wanted to humiliate in front of everyone. Cassie already got teased enough at school but it was just because she was poor, and as much as she felt sad she didn't answer or fight back, but just kept quiet.

After this formed group of popular girls saw her sitting on a bench with her doll in her hand, they saw a perfect opportunity to humiliate her.

Cassie as usual didn't answer anything.
