The Summer I Turned Jelly

The Meet

I love this drive. This smell. This water. Everything.
     " BEACH HOUSE HERE WE COMEE," Yells Steven.
      " Steven hush omg," I say. An hour later, we step out of the car. I'm looking around just taking it all in when Jeremiah scoops me off my feet.
       " Hey Bells! ( ps my name is belly in this) You look so different!!" Jere screeches with happiness and goes to say hi to Steven and my mom. ~ no you look different. Hot different~ I thought. I can't say that out loud though.. obviously.
       " Hey Belly," Conrad Fisher. The boy I had a crush on ever since I was ten. But I have a feeling things are going to change this summer. I can feel it.
       " Hey guys.. I think it's time for.. a... BELLY FLOP!!" Jere and Steven shout in unison.
" No! Wait put me down!!" I say, giggling as all three boys pick me up, Conrad with my feet, Jere and Steven with my shoulders. They do this every year. They pick me up and throw me in the pool. We call it a belly flop because.. well you get it.
     I come up from the water after they tossed me in.
        " Hey guys cmon I hurt my ankle help me out." I say swimming toward the side as Conrad leans down to help me out. I grab his hand and I pull him in. Conrad struggles to catch his breath while Jeremiah and Steven are laughing their asses off.
         " Come on guys! Susanna's waiting for us!" Mom said. Susanna was Jeremiah and Conrad's mom. She was the best. I couldn't wait to spend another summer down here in Cousins.
