Do you know that feeling when you want something really bad that you work your ass off to get it? But when the time comes where all your hard work is payed off and you finally got what you wanted you don't seem as happy as you expected yourself to be? Well I was feeling that way when Adam became the quarterback of the school.
I was supposed to be ecstatic that I finally got revenge on Bryce Anderson.
I after all was the one who made Adam all this just so I can take Bryce down.
But when Bryce was finally removed from his thrown, the feeling of dread and guilt washed over me when instead it was supposed to be joy and excitement.
My theory as to why I was feeling like this was by the look I saw on Bryce's face once I saw him as a regular student in LakeWood High instead of the quarterback in the football team.
He looked so fragile as if you had to whisper and tiptoe around him just so he wouldn't break. His eyes were bloodshot as if he'd cry for several hours which he never does, his clothes were crumpled like they weren't ironed and his hair was a mess making him look like he just got up from bed. He wasn't looking like the normal Bryce Anderson you'd see strutting around the hallways.
It's been 2 days since Adam became the quarterback of this school and Bryce still has this weird vibe around him- and I'm one to speak considering how long it took me to get over myself being popular, pfft. Imagine how he looked like the day he was not only removed from his position but also from the team.
My eyes followed him as he pushed the door open out to the football team.
It was lunch so I decided why not go over and talk to him while I have time.
I ran after him and once I was on the football field I made a beeline for Bryce but I couldn't find him.
I looked up at the bleachers and that's when I spotted Bryce eating a sandwich alone- I've seen that picture before.
I thought to myself as I started to climb up.
"Do you know that trespassing into someone else's spot is illegal?" I asked him jokingly once I reached the top.
He looked up from his phone before giving me a grin which I would've never known he was sad if not for me catching him candid earlier. "I was looking for you and I figured that you would be in your spot."
I couldn't help but blush a little at the thought of him trying look for me while being in the state he was in. "Well I'm here now." I say as a smile starts to form on my face. "May I?" I ask gesturing to the seat beside him.
He nodded. "It's your spot after all."
I laughed before sitting down beside him. "So are you okay?" I asked after 2 minutes of silence that all we could here were the chirping of the birds and the laughter coming from the people at the bottom of the bleachers as they talked to one another.
I stared at him as the wind blew his hair gently. He stared out onto the field as if he was reminiscing something. All I could see was his profile but that was good enough considering it was Bryce who was seated beside me.
I studied his face carefully as I started from his eyes which was a gorgeous shade of blue that very few people have. His eyes weren't like Adam's kind of blue, instead his eyes were something so beautiful I wouldn't be able to give them justice if I explained them. His jaw line was strong and tight as he stared out onto space. His cheekbones were high and prominent models would be jealous. Very light freckles dotted across his nose bridge and onto his cheeks. I looked at his lips and they were perfectly shaped you wouldn't be able to resist-
