Scorose: A Brand New Adventure

Graduation

Rose's P.O.V:

Today was graduation day! I was actually dreading this day ever since I was 11. I love Hogwarts and to think I'll never learn here again makes me kind of sad.

All of my fellow graduates and I were standing behind the curtain on the stage waiting for McGonagall's signal. When a pair of strong arms wrapped around me, I giggled.

"Lorcan, I told you that I'm already taken. I can't date you anymore!" I joked with him.

"Now, who is this person who has taken you from me?!" He asked doing his best Lorcan impression, I giggled again.

"He's tall, blonde, and very handsome! His name is Scorpius Malfoy." I turned around and kissed him full on the mouth. He was taken aback at first but then kissed me back.

"Ew! Welcome to Get-A-Room-Ville! Population Rose and Scorpius!" My cousin Albus faked vomiting and we all started to laugh.

"Haha very funny Al! Weren't you just snogging Paisley Garnelle a few days ago in the library?" I asked him with a grin. He turned bright red and Scorpius started to laugh, when we heard McGonagall's signal.

The curtains opened and in the audience I saw my mother Hermione fussing over my father Ron's tie and my brother Hugo smirking at me, next to them my Uncle Harry, Aunt Ginny, cousin James, and cousin Lily. A couple rows behind them were my Uncle Bill, Aunt Fleur, cousin Dominique and cousin Louis. And finally a few seats over, Teddy Lupin and my very beautiful, very pregnant cousin Victorie Lupin who waved to me smiling.

"Welcome everyone to the Graduation of the Class of 2023!" McGonagall voice boomed. Everyone clapped.

After some of the names were read off she finally got to us.

"Albus Severus Potter!" She said, Albus walked over to her and took his diploma then found a seat.

"Scorpius Hyperion Malfoy!" Her voice boomed again, Scorpius walked over and did what Albus did, and took a seat next to him.

"Rose Nymphadora Weasley!" McGonagall smiled as I followed the same procedure as Al and Scorp and then took a seat next to Scorpius and squeezed his hand.

After I sat down McGonagall read a couple more names and then the service was over, at least I thought.

"We now have a speech from one of our graduates, Scorpius Malfoy!" She said and he stood up and proceeded to the front of the stage. Everyone cheered and I was puzzled. What could he possibly say?

"Thank you Professor. First, I want to congratulate the graduating class of 2023! It took a lot of hard work to get to where we are now, so congratulations." He paused looking flustered and then looked back out to the audience.

"Now I would like to call up Rose Nymphadora Weasley!" He looked straight at me and I walked up to the stage. He placed a fedora on my head for the sake of my middle name (Nymphadora).

"The first time I saw you was on September 1st 2017 on Platform 9 3/4 you were twirling your hair around your finger nervously. And I thought, "what a scaredy cat!" But once we were seated on the train and it finally started to leave the station I knew you were brave and courageous and that you'd be the perfect match for me. As the years went by we started to become closer and I realized my thoughts about you on the train were right. Man I couldn't wait for you too be my girlfriend!"

He started to kneel down, the microphone in one hand and my right hand in the other.

"Rose, you're in my thoughts daily and I would take any curse to save you. I know you'll always be there for me and I will always be there for you. I've thought about this for a long time and I want it to be official. And I want this to be like our okay, okay? Rose Nym- fedora Weasley," he said emphasizing the fedora part of my name and tipping my hat.

"Will you be wife and marry me?" He looked straight into my eyes a questioning look on his face.

I looked to my father then looked back to Scorpius.

"Umm..."
