You're An Idiot.

“My heart is yours/ my heart is yours/ my heart is….” As Belle and I finished performing ‘My Heart’ by Paramore the crowd – who happened to be our school as we were performing for assembly – began to clap and cheer.

“Thank you very much!” I said into the mic. “I’m Anarchy and this is Belle and WE are If Only They Knew!” We quickly walked of the stage so our friends Jeremy, Max, Josh, Alex and Kyle AKA ‘Tomorrow’s Yesterday’ could go on stage.

“Hey shortie,” Jeremy said winking as I walked past.

“You’re such a perv Jeremy, isn’t there some other poor girl you can harass? Or better yet shouldn’t you be setting up your mic?” I asked teasingly, poking my tongue at him.

“Aww, come on Ana, you know you want this,” he said gesturing to his body, doing a dorky dance while backing away towards the stage.

“Keep telling yourself that sweetie!” I yelled after him before walking off with Belle to go sit down and watch their performance.

“Hey everybody! We’re Tomorrow’s Yesterday and we’re going to be playing ‘We’ll all be…’ by The Maine!” The crowd cheered and Max counted to four on his drum sticks then the band began to play.

I walked into Jeremy’s Garage after school, where everyone was relaxing, playing music and having a couple drinks.

“Hey Ana banana! Pass me a drink out of the fridge please!” Yelled Alex.

“Me too,” Jeremy seconded. I handed Alex his drink and seeing as all the seats were taken I sat on Jeremy when I passed him his drink. I looked around the room and saw that Belle was sitting on Joshy whispering to each other about something - Belle and Josh had been going out for about 5 months now. Josh asked her out on her 17th birthday. - Max was tapping on a bongo while Kyle and Alex were playing their guitars. Leaning forward Jeremy wrapped his arms around my waist.

“You guys should play ‘Wonderwall’ by Oasis” he said to Max Kyle and Alex. They agreed an as they began playing everyone joined in singing. It was my idea of a perfect moment, just jamming with your friends, having a good time.

“Alright I wanna hear a duet from Jeremy and Anarchy!” Belle said after Wonderwall was finished.

“Uhh, how about ‘I must be dreaming?” I asked Jeremy. We’d practiced it before so we knew who sings when.

“Okay, ready guys?” He asked. Alex, Kyle and Max nodded and began to play.

Ana: I think He’s crazy. /Judging by the faces that he's making.

Jeremy: And I think she's pretty. /But pretty's just part of the things she does that amaze me.

Ana: And he calls me sweetheart. /I love it when he wakes me when it's still dark.

Jeremy: And she watches the sun. /But she's the only one I have my eyes on.

Ana: Tell me that you love me. /And it'll be alright.

Jeremy: Are you thinking of me? /Just come with me tonight.

Ana: And oh he's playing games now. /And I figured it out now that we're

Both: Now that we're closer.

Jeremy: Two kids, one love.

Ana: Who cares it we making it up?

Jeremy: Her voice is sweet sound.

Ana: Our clothes lay on the ground.

Jeremy: She moves in closer. Whispers "I thought I told yah"

Jeremy: Are you thinking of me? /Just come with me tonight.

Ana: Remember the day when we started this.

Jeremy: And she made the shape of my heart with her hands.

Ana: We try to make some sense of it.

Jeremy: But she called me on the phone and said..

Jeremy: She moves in closer.

When we finished singing we just sat there staring at each other for a second before quickly looking away. I looked up and saw Belle walking towards us. I raised a questioning eyebrow and all she did was smile.

“Can I borrow Ana for a second?” She asked Jer. He nodded and I could’ve sworn he kissed the back of my head as I went to stand up and follow her outside but I shook it of thinking I imagined it.

“How may I be of service?” I asked her.

“So when are you going to tell him you like him?” she asked.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” I said feigning ignorance.

“Oh come on it’s obvious you like Jeremy, he likes you to you know,” she said matter-of-factly.

“Look even if I did like him, which I don’t, I’m not good at the whole telling people how I feel thing…” I admitted.

“You’re an idiot,” she said shaking her head before walking back in.

“Well that was helpful,” I said to myself rolling my eyes and following her.
