Mary Jones
Britain, year 1858
"OH NO!" I scream with a broken heart.
"Lady Mary! Is everything alright?!" My maid, Clara, comes rushing into my room, hands grabbing and worried eyes looking at mine.
"No! Prince James broke up with the princess", I got up from the bench that's next to my window. Clara looks at the book in my hand and realizes what I'm talking about. She lets go of my hands and gives me her "i'm going to kill you" face, "Oh Mary don't dare do that again! It's just a silly fantasy book. It's not like those characters are real"
I gasp then hug my book, "Shhh, what if she hears you", Clara lifts one brow and puts her hands on her hips.
I laugh from her reaction, "ahaha im sorry Clara. I promise i won't scare you like that again"
"It's no issue my lady. I was going to come in here anyways. Your parents would like to see you, they are in the dining room having tea" she mischievously smiles at me. Mhmm is she hiding something?
"Okay?" I say to her then leave my room and head to the dining room. The guards open the doors for me, i walk in to find my parents widley smiling at me.
"My dear Mary please sit, we have very important news to share with you" my father, Sir Nolan Jones gestures to the chair across from me and my mom, Lady Mia Jones.
"What is it?" I questioned them, and one of the servants placed a cup of tea in front of me.
"You're father and I have had this planned for a while now. We believe this will be the best thing for you as it was for us" my mother puts her hand on my fathers.
"Yes, and even if you can't handle it then you are always free to come back home", my dad smiles at me.
"What is it already?" I laugh a little. They glanced at each other for a bit then looked back at me.
"You will be getting married" my mother announced. Did I hear what she said? Could this really be happening?
"Are you two joking? Because you know-"
"No, we are serious Mary. We want you to have the same thing that your mother and I found", he tightens his grip on my mothers hand. You could say that my parents are the perfect couple. Everywhere we go they can't get their hands off each other. One time my father went on a business trip for a week and mother was depressed the entire week. I've always wanted to have what they have but my parents don't like it when I leave the house so much. My mother said it's for the best because this world is too cruel for me. I never understood that, all i've ever wanted was to make some real friends and not just hang out with my cousins.
"Oh My God, I'm so thrilled! Who will I be marrying?!" I jumped from my chair, basically squealing and jumping up and down.
"Prince Hudson Celeste of Monaco, have you heard of him?" my father asks me
"HAVE I HEARD OF HIM!?" i scream in joy
Prince Hudson Celeste is the most handsome man that walked the earth AND HE'S MARRYING ME! Girls would literally chase him down streets by the sight of him. They say that he smells like sweet vanilla and his eyes are like diamonds in person. I guess we'll find out when we see him in person.
