A/N - okay, so before you guys start reading this chapter let me tell you that this is super short. I didn't really know what to write since I lost the connection with the story and it's totally my fault. So, just to compensate I updated one more chapter as a bonus. So there are two updates for you guys. Hope you like them. Also, vote and comment what you all think. x

In a matter of seconds I was facing him. My heart was thudding, my mouth ajar, like it could touch the floor anytime soon.

A notorious smirk was plastered on his face as he took a sip from the coffee mug right from the area where my lips left a print.

"Surprisingly, you got this one perfectly right, Miss Cooper." He somehow manages to send a shiver run down my spine. Placing the coffee mug on his desk he continues, "I wonder whether it's really the coffee or..."

With this, I don't know what to speak. An awkward blush I was trying so hard to shoo away crept on my cheeks but my mind was still confused as to whether he was being sarcastic or just... sarcastic. There's nothing else Zayn Malik could be.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Malik. I never intended to do this." I whisper so quietly that I doubt that he even heard it but hearing a chortle in response answers all my questions.

"Don't be sorry, Miss Cooper. Sometimes cooperation is a need, I guess."

"I'll be cooperative whenever you want me to, Mr. Malik." The words slip out of my mouth before I have the time to examine them and I slap myself mentally at my wrong choice.

The hazel eyes that are looking at me intently reflect no emotion and somehow it brings me some relief. Perhaps, he never heard me? What if I said that in my head? I hope.

He clears his throat and orders me, "You can leave now, Miss Cooper." Suddenly his calm tone bled into a cold one, his expression unreadable.

Ignoring my presence, he moved his vision to his laptop, his fingers fiddling with the pen in his hand. And that was my cue to finally leave. After causing such a fatal damage to my reputation I couldn't stand one more second in front of this man who happened to be my boss. I don't need to bring myself more embarrassment, the quota for today is fulfilled, I guess.

Inhaling a sharp intake of air, I leave his office and make my way to my little cabin.
