This was requested by @Random123570 where Lila's mother orders a commission from MDC which causes some unexpected but delightful results.
Lila was grinning from ear to ear. She was on top of the world! Everyone was buying her lunch, carrying her books and isolating Marinette for her so called bullying. Honestly, that class was so gullible it was almost laughable. She was currently getting ready for school, plotting more lies in her mind, until a knock on her bedroom door made her turn her head. Her mother, Greta Rossi, came in. She was a very out together woman but completely oblivious to her daughters vicious personality when she wasn't looking. She was all dressed for work in a power suit with sharp make-up and a clean hair cut.
"Morning dear! Just to let you know, I'll be home later today, so you'll be on your own. I am sorry about this, will you be okay?" Greta asked. Lila put on her sweetest yet phoniest smile.
"Not to worry. I promised I'd help a friend with some homework after school anyway," Lila said. In her mind it wasn't a technical lie as she was doing homework with someone...except that she was going to make them do the homework for her due to her 'arthritis'. And besides, she had some modelling shoots to do with Adrien so it was a good cover.
"Oh of course dear! You're so sweet!" Greta said, giving her daughter a hug, which Lila accepted, hiding the scowl on her face at the scent of her mother's strong perfume.
"That's me! Well, best be off!" Lila said, practically darting out of the door and down the stairs, not noticing that a small slip of paper fell from her half open bag. Greta was quick to notice this.
"Oh Lila...!" she shouted but the girl had already left the building.
Greta bent down and picked up the piece of paper. Surely Lila wouldn't mind if she took a little peak? She always raved about her social life so it didn't seem harmful. Turning the paper the right way round in her hand, she squinted as she read it.
"MDC? Mmm, I wonder what that is?" Greta mumbled. She was about to pull out her phone and check but she only then noticed the time. She was going to be late for work! No matter, she could always check who or what this MDC was online on her lunch break.
....
Lunch came around quite quickly. At her desk, she was just wrapping up her latest spreadsheet while checking the daily akuma alert. Honestly, those two children playing so called heroes should let the proper authorities do their job! What could two children do that they couldn't? It was lucky that her darling Lila actually got an education with the schools shutting all the time!
"Honestly...running around in masks cause damage," Greta said as she took a sip of coffee and a bit of her sandwich before the familiar memory of this morning popped into her head.
MDC! She wondered why Lila would make note of such strange initials. Well, now was time to find out! She typed in the initials into her computer and then clicked on the top search that took her to a website. She blinked at what came up. Why, this website was amazing! Such a fabulous range of clothes with glowing reviews! Even one from the Style Queen herself! Greta was no expert in fashion but even she knew that having a compliment from her was not a common occurrence. As she scrolled further down, seeing all of the wonderful clothes, it occurred to her why Lila was looking at this brand. She must want an outfit for herself. Greta then felt a pang of guilt. She knew she worked around the clock so she wasn't home much. Lila was probably just looking for something to cheer herself up with. Well, no matter, she could fix that! Maybe she could find something on her to cheer Lila up!
