SPNPG Until Dawn - I Don't Hate You

It was Henrietta's idea to go with Marjorine, and the blonde had no idea why.

They hadn't talked since the fight at the cabin, not even after both making it off that mountain alive.

But Kylie had disappeared and wasn't responding to anyone's calls or texts, and Henrietta decided to pair up with her to go look for the redhead.

Marjorine just shrugged at Kenny's questioning look and said she'd meet up with him later.

A few minutes of looking in silence and she couldn't take it anymore.

"Why did you want to pair up with me to look?"

The goth grinned. "I think it's about time we stop the whole not talking to each other thing, don't you think? We survived near death experiences up on that mountain, it just makes you think how short life is and how you don't want to waste it."

Okay, very good points.

"I thought you hated me," Marjorine said.

"I think I hated Kenny, which was weird because it was a mutual breakup," Henrietta replied, "but he was dating you two days later and I thought we broke up not just because we weren't right for each other but also because he'd been cheating on me."

Which wasn't the truth, but she didn't say anything as the other girl went on.

"But that wasn't the truth, and I was too stubborn to see it, and I'm sorry. After that night, I asked Kenny what actually happened and he said he realised he liked you and that was part of why he wanted to break up. He wasn't expecting you to return his feelings when he told you."

Marjorine also wasn't expecting the confession, but she had been so happy to have her feelings returned she forgot about the timing between the breakup and the confession.

"Still, I can see why you thought there was cheating involved," she said.

Henrietta nodded. "But I know the truth now, and I'm sorry for hating you when you didn't even do anything. I don't hate you, okay? I consider you...an acquaintance, but I'd like to consider you a friend."

Marjorine considered this. "I'd like us to be friends too."

She received a smile. "Cool."

They didn't find Kylie until the morning, but in a way she had brought them closer.

Funny how things work out.
