I must've dropped my reasoning skills along with general logic with my jaw when it fell to the floor.
The last place I expected to get this sort of call from was school. I didn't say anything when he asked why. I didn't say anything when he told me where or when.
Now the logical part of my brain tells me that I should be glad I get to leave school early. It's still definitely not worth it by any means at all, but I get time off.

It feels like hours before my dad finally appears, entering through the glass doors of the highschool office with this menacing look on his face. I understand he's not happy with the situation.
He shares little words with the office lady before walking further down the hall, out of sight.
