Chapter 4

After Avery and Van's successful operation and their continued internship at the hospital, their relationship faced a major challenge. A female doctor from another department fell in love with Van and started getting closer to him.

Avery heard the rumors about the female doctor and immediately began to think about how she would handle the situation. Fear filled her heart, and she didn't know how to handle her emotions anymore.

Van opened their door and approached Avery. He caressed her hair and leaned her against his shoulder. "I love you, and I wouldn't trade your love for anyone else. You are my life, and no one else can compare to you."

Avery's tears subsided, and she lifted her face. She saw sincerity in Van's eyes, and her trust in her partner slowly returned.

"Van," she said, gently stroking Van's cheek, "I love you too, more than words can express. I don't want us to fall apart over something like this. I'm fighting for us and our love. But please show that you're not interested in anyone else to prevent the situation from worsening."

Van nodded and wrapped his arms around Avery. "I'm here for you, my love. I won't allow myself to be the cause of our discord. I'll strive to make things right between us. No one can match you."

In the following days, Avery and Van made an effort to confront the challenges in their relationship. They talked and strengthened their trust in each other. They made sure that their love was stronger than any trials they faced.
