"I'm gonna count down from three, Cameron," Nate shouts. I indulge in the hug and bury my face deeper into August's hair, taking away all benefits of seeing the look on Palmer's face right now.
By the tone of his voice, I'd assume his fists are clenched and eyebrows narrowed to an extreme extent, but that's Nate all the time, so once again I'm back at square one.
"You don't want to know what will happen when I get to zero." He threatens. I chuckle and lift my head up, not to look at Nate, which I'm sure is a laughable sight as is, but to look at the beautiful blonde I have wrapped in my arms.
Propping her head on my chest, August's lips pull into the cutest grin and I come to the official conclusion, If I could stare at her for the rest of my existence, I sure as hell would.
The sun casts on her face in the most perfect way. Revealing the loose hair that dance across her hairline and bright golden eyes that are displaying more hidden colors than usual. In this very moment, there is only one word I can think of to describer her, fucking angelic.
Shit, that's two words. Okay. Just, angelic.
I tighten the hug and lean down so she can hear me more clearly, "Worth the risk?" I whisper.
"He'll chop your dick off before he even gets to two." She whispers back, covering her giggle by pressing her mouth against my bicep.
"Wouldn't want that, now would we, Renna?" I tsk.
"Three." Nate warns.
"Eh," She shrugs. "Not much there anyways, I'd doubt it even make a difference."
"Liars get punished." I scold, trying my best to keep myself as collected as possible. I fail the second a slight smirk hits her face, and I decide to mentally add a few things to my list of,
'Things August Renna Does That I'd Get On My Knees And Beg For Her To Do Again."
It's a long list and a pretty long title, but It's straight to the point and that's all that matters.
"Two." Nate shouts again, less impatient.
"Try me." August tests. We do that thing where we both start an unannounced, but intense staring contest. News flash, I never lose.
My eyes burn into hers, but hers burn hotter into mine. Tiny hints of green and dark brown tempting me to forget everyone in this parking lot and kiss the living shit out of her.
But that's not an option, so I break eye contact and let go of her. News flash, I lost.
"Can't handle the heat?" She giggles, brushing past me and grabbing my helmet from the seat of the car.
"Rematch." I insist.
"Sore loser."
"As long as your eyes are the ones staring at me, I'm not losing jack-shit."
"Mm, pun intended?"
"Always." I wink.
"Alright, alright! Get a fucking room!" Soph whisper shouts, walking up to the both of us.
"You paying for it, Dylan?" I question, leaning against the car and crossing my arms over my chest.
"Oh no, I don't pay for anything." She smiles pridefully. I give a short salute and nod, given that her statement is one-hundred percent correct. I just got schooled by both girls and I'm not sure how to feel about it.
"Here you are good sir." August sneers. Standing on her tippy toes, she tries her best to reach the top of my head in hopes to put my helmet on for me. A chuckle escapes my mouth when she fails and maxes out at my chin.
