"Oh love, a tune from my piano has been cut, only to get replaced by the bliss your lips gave me under the autumn leaves."

With a huff and a puff, I leaped down from the van and stared at my father for a moment who fixed the collar of his shirt and turned his back away from me to pay the puller his demanding money. Clutching a brand new, sickening yellow colored bucket on my left palm and the stack of newspapers on my right palm - I started to walk for the house with hasty steps. Chilly breezes of winter were more prominent now, sending tremor down to my waist from the coldness.

"Father..." suddenly I whirled around, the bucket making a loud noise against the door for my abrupt change of direction, "You... won't tell mother about this, right? That I went to the camp with Mr. Baek?"

"Why, is there anything wrong?" my father put his money bag back into his pocket and gave me an incredulous look, "It's not bad if you have met with your to - be - husband! Coincidences happen."

"That's the problem." I scratched the back of my neck, brain doing a competition of running so many thoughts at the same time, "You know how backdated she is! If she hears that I met with her son - in - law before the marrige then she will probably run to Mrs. Kim's house and tell her that Seokjin was here! Both of them will be upset!"

"Ah, I am sure they will understand but if it's your wish then okay." he waved his hands as a matter of fact, "Don't worry about that."

I sighed in relief at his statement. Turning the doorknob, I slowly entered the house, trying hard to not make any sound from my footsteps. I knew that scoldings were already on my plate, but to reduce that I had decided to wash the cutlery before my mother did, just to please her.

But my father had to ruin it.

"Sana, my wife!" he remarked in joy, his footings literally bombing on the wooden floor as he closed the door with a loud thud, "I am back!"

Soon, my mother's irritated face was visible from the corner of the room, as she tied her hair in a knot and checked the laces of her apron. Her eagle shaped eyes were narrowed and eyebrows were knitted together, hands soaking in water because she was obviously washing the plates. With throwing a sharp glance at our point, she stated calmly,

"Where were you two? Tani's father, did you buy the groceries? And Tani, what is it actually? You went to fetch the water one hour ago, then sent your friends saying that the bucket burst..."

"Yeah, we bought another one!" I piped up and showed her the yellow bucket dramatically, "Isn't it cute? I like yellow!"

My mother let out a heavy sigh, and gestured me at the kitchen, "Soyeon is in there. Make sure to not burn the dishes. Mrs. Kim is gonna have breakfast with us and the bucket is awful. Since when did your color choice turn so creepy, Tani?"

Father chose the color not me -

"Fine." I let the bucket fall from my grasp and I could swear that I heard an 'Ouch!' coming out of the poor thing. My mother then turned at my father, who immediately cowered under her piercing gaze.

"Yer...Sana..."

"Milk, bread, eggs and cherry syrup." she chanted and pushed him towards the door, "Make sure to buy from Mr. Bean's store. He has got the fresh supplies. Now go."
