Conciliated

satisfied, happy by everything

"At last the moon woke, the stars shone, your gaze returned and I smiled."

___________

8 MONTHS LATER.

Colorful confetti with white foam burst from the spray, showering everyone and making them look like a snowman. Cheeks coated in cream and tiny chocolate beans, hair puffed with paper flowers, dresses and suits messed with party crackers - the people in the hallroom were making total chaos.

Lagoons of bubbling wine, ice cubes and drinks were placed on the white tables, turning the men's attention to it solely. Every now and then the laughter of children could be heard; waltzing around the room like a tune. Some couple were slowly dancing with the soothing music coming from the piano, hands entwined around each other.

I stopped to look at the beautiful scene in front of me. The moment brought me peace, something I could feel to my heart's core. Butterflies flew inside my stomach, making me blush as I propelled my hands and rested my chin on them.

The feeling was too endearing to be real.

I put my palms on the table and gazed down at it; the surface of the diamond ring on my finger reflecting my own face at me. I smiled for a brief moment then again hid behind my hands ( which didn't do much help, of course ), trying to stop squeaking.

I still couldn't believe my eyes.

"You are really cringy, Tani. Forget that I ever told you to act in dramas."

Widening my gaze, I snapped my head up to see a really ethereal looking man sitting in front of me with a glass of wine.

His hair were neatly arranged, revealing the merry forehead for which my screaming knew no end. The white shirt beneath his black suit had the first three buttons of it opened ( I repeat, three buttons ), the sleeves rolled up to the elbows. He rather lazily put the glass on his lips, sipping the drink and gazing at me with dark eyes.

I took in the scene then again hid my face with my hands.

"Moreover, I am the best person to act in dramas. But I am afraid that... my wife won't let me enter the house after kissing another girl, will she?"

"I am going to kick you where the sun doesn't shine." I muttered in a low voice, flustered. By no time, I heard a chuckle, then his hands grabbing mine and putting them down. To see my red face.

"What is it?" he completely ignored that we had a freaking table between us, and leaned towards me slowly. I gulped and hastily retreated, looking at anywhere but him.

This man will make me insane for his gestures one day.

"N - nothing, I -" my breaths hitched as I practically felt his breath fanning on my left cheek. OH MY, WAS HE SITTING ON THE TABLE? OR ELSE HOW CAN HE JUST -

"You are blushing." he grinned, letting go of my hands and returning to his seat. I at last breathed out, "Is it because of the kiss, Tani?"

I shut my eyes at his words. Again, that internal squeaking.

"You ate my face, actually." tapping my fingers on the table as if I didn't care, I mumbled, "You didn't need to do that! All that the priest said was, 'You may now kiss the bride'. Not smooching me off!"

"So that's the reason you are sitting here? Repeating the scene inside your head?" he smiled innocently, expression nothing close to being embarrassed. I swallowed and shook my head,

"No! It's not that!"

"I see." he mimicked my tone, "It's not that."

I swear that I am going nuts. Oh wait, I am already one.

"That was just a start, love." he chuckled and stood up from his chair, "Wait until the party gets over. Then I will -"

"I know!" I smiled, feeling embarrassed. He eyed me for a second, then quickly, really quickly, placed a swift kiss on my lips. Seokjin winked and messed up my hairstyle with his hands. I blinked rapidly, looking around if anyone had seen this.

Of course, Jimin and Seonhee's gazes were stuck on us. The habitual fact.

"I feel single." she turned to Jimin, who was equally astonished. He then turned his head at Seokjin, muttering in a daze.

"Hyung, can't you give it a rest? I feel - disgusted?"

"Then look away, who's telling you to watch?" Seokjin fumed, hands on his hips as he glared at them, "Can't you give us a private moment?"

"Private moment in a public hall? Yes, we obviously can." Jimin nodded then poked Seonhee on her head, "Miss, let's cover our eyes with our hands. We should give the couple a bit privacy."

It didn't stop there. After a few seconds, Jimin and Seonhee placed their hands on their eyes like children, and walked away playfully. I couldn't help laughing at the cute act.

"They are perfect for each other! Don't you think they should be together?" I asked Seokjin, who nodded before grinning,

"Yes, they should. And, this is the first thing we both have agreed as a married couple."

I smiled at the choice of word, 'Marriage'.

Everything felt unreal. Just some moments before I had went up to the podium, my father holding my hand. Just some moments ago the priest had spoke the wedding vows, entwining mine and Seokjin's hands. Just some moments ago Seokjin had pressed his soft lips on mine, taking me as his. Yet I couldn't believe the feeling. It made me think, that what did I even do to deserve this beautiful day of life.

It was perfect in that particular minute. With Seokjin standing beside me, laughing; with Jimin and Seonhee bickering like a lovebirds; with Soyeon mumbling math equations loudly as she drank; with my parents and Seokjin's parents dancing and grinning when they heard their bone cracking; with the group of soldiers happily gulping down their wine.

We all were happy.

Life taught us to stay strong on our beliefs. It proved how my thought on waiting was wrong; if someone waits for their loved ones then their names will forever remain in the hearts. Let it be platonic or real. Love, was always there.

"It's a beautiful life, beautiful day!" I heard Jimin's sweet voice on the speakers, as he sang loudly. Seonhee was giggling beside him, hands wrapped around his waist and eyes twinkling.

"Look who is showing his charisma now!" Seokjin chuckled, fingers entwining with mine as he stared at the sight. I pressed his hand gently, then nodded, heart blooming in warmth.

It's indeed a beautiful life.
