SPECIAL CHAPTER

Third Person POV

A patient who have been confined in the hospital for months finally woke up from her long rest after a car accident. Chaos happened the moment she woke up as she acted weirdly in front of her friend and a guy she believed to be her boyfriend.

Sun Hyun, the patient, later then realized that she woke up from a dream, an unusual one as it also appeared that it was as if everything that had happened in her dream was real. She experienced the feeling of being inside of a borderland. The borderland between sleeping and waking. However, her feelings remained the same for him, the literal man of her dreams.

"I know who my boyfriend is and it happens to be you. Girlfriends know their boyfriend's name.. and.." she paused to introduce herself to the guy, extending a hand to him for a handshake. "Nice to meet you, I'm Choi Sun Hyun. Your girlfriend."

The guy was left dumbfounded, still couldn't process everything. Until Jay, her friend, faked a cough to catch their attentions.

Ni-ki faked a cough while blinking his eyes repeatedly to relax his heart that was already beating fast. He left out a heavy sigh to cool his head and his whole face and ears, down.

"G–Guess I'll have to be nice to a patient." he stuttered as he tried to change the topic. "Maybe you did really forgot what happened.. I'll tell you all of it." he added.

She tilted their head and stayed silent to listen to her beloved boyfriend.

"To put it simply, I just found you somewhere.." his voice cracked out of nervousness as she was staring only at him while she's sitting on the hospital bed. "...walking like a zombie. I tried to approach you carefully but we bumped onto each other since you're obviously drunk. You even broke your heels. I had no choice but to carry you to my car when you passed out, I don't know where you live so I planned to just let you sleep in my house but then," his face heated up recalling the next scenes that followed. "Y–you told me that your boyfriend broke up with you. I listened to all of your words, I waited for you to finish up your story, I thought that was it!" he looked away from her as he sulked.

"What happened next?" the corner of her lips twitched, she grinned secretly knowing what she did.

He hissed. "You.. kissed me."

"What's wrong with that, though? Let's not make it a big deal since it's going to happen a couple of times in the future. Believe me." she proudly replied.

"It's my first— and, why do you think it would happen again? Did I let you call me your boyfriend? I'm not your boyfriend and we're not in a relationship!" he blurted angrily.

"Why? Are you dating someone?" she chuckled. "I took your first kiss, so, I think you're single. You're actually kind of aggressive in my dreams–"

He cut her off by covering her lips to stop her from talking. "Okay, fine. Let's date. You're not that bad, a– anyways."

Sun Hyun stayed for few more days in the hospital for further examinations. When she got discharged, her parents were the ones who brought her back home and made her rest.

In her actual life, her parents never went abroad. Their family was successful and they really do have connections but her parents lived with her from the very day she was born. She found it hilarious that she never once thought that she was only dreaming, never doubted what was going on in her dreams. She was tricked by her own mind.

Jay's friends visited her in her house, also when she was still in the hospital.

Everyone and everything in her dreams really existed, only that Ni-ki was a stranger in her actual life and she only met her once— and she's drunk at that moment. He appeared in her dreams, playing a huge role in her rollercoaster-like, playful dream.
