Chapter 1: Mutual Interest

Alex Vaughn, a senior at the New York University for Computer Science. It's the close to the end of the school year. Alex has one final report to write before graduating college. She decides to go to a local bar to finish it up after class, since that's where she works best and there's free Wi-Fi.

Class starts as Mister Wilson walks into the room. Every takes their laptop as Mister Wilson assigns an assignment. "The purpose of this assignment is that you try to break in one of the different secured servers here on school. The deeper inside you get the better your grade! The names are on the papers you have. Good luck!" Mister Wilson says. Alex looks at the papers and picks one with a Linux operating system. Alex runs a few tests to see if anything is open on the server. After a few tests Alex instead of finding an opening she founds one of the passwords to get in. Alex tries her luck and gets inside the server with a local account. Now to get deeper she needs to get a higher account. After putting several commands she upgraded her local account to a serve account, which allows her to dig deeper into the server. Now it's time for some fun and have a look at what that server has to hide.

After 30 minutes of digging, Alex notices she got into the private network of school. This network contains administration papers, finals and much more. She decides to take some files offline and finish up the assignment, since she got through the public secured server into the private network. Alex finished early with the assignment and has another 30 minutes to spend on writing her final report. The report is about how to get into any server easily, no matter what level of security it has. Since she's topnotch of her class she decided to step it up in the final report.

After the morning classes are over Alex goes for lunch before heading into the final two hours of class this year. The last two hours are about how to fully secure your own servers. When Miss Stephens gives the assignment Alex gives a deep sigh. "This is easy." She says to herself. Alex finishes the assignment in less than 30 minutes and finishes up the previous to last chapter of her final report before class is dismissed.

"I'll drop by Dani then leave so I can finish this report." Alex says as a reminder. After a short walk Alex arrives at Dani's and knocks on the door. Dani opens the door and says, "Well you're early."

-      "Well another easy thing for Miss Stephens, so could leave earlier than the rest." Alex replies.

-      "Right, come on in. Plans tonight?" Dani asks

-      "Yeah going to the pub to finish my report." Alex says smiling

-      "Still not done with that? It's due tomorrow 10am."

-      "I know, just one more chapter and I'm done. Want to come?"

-      "No, got things to arrange with Mikey."

-      "Okay, I'll see you tomorrow then!"

Alex walks out and goes to her dorm to grab some things. "Okay, what do I need? My laptop and charger for sure." Alex says while packing her backpack. "And I need these two books. I'm ready to go, so let's head of." She says while grabbing her things and leaving her dorm. After a short cab ride she arrives at the pub and goes inside. "Nice and cozy to work." Alex says while walking to the table in the corner. After ordering a drink and placing everything on the table she starts to work on her report. After an hour or two of work the pub starts to get a bit crowded and a stranger comes and sits next to Alex.

-      "Hi I'm Andy. Can I offer you a drink?" The stranger says

-      "Hi busy on my final report that's due tomorrow. So I'd appreciate it if you let me work. It's kind of important." Alex replies, without noticing what Andy said.
