It's Time

Thomas POV:

As I turn around away from Teresa I immediately feel guilty. I know it's part of the plan, but I don't know how long it will take to find Minho and she will be living with that guilt till we do. I shake off my thoughts and run towards the group I nod my head at them and they immediately know what's happening. WICKED starts bombing and fires are arising. Everyone starts scattering and WICKED guards start piling in. I run into the catastrophe and see the med jack tent on fire. Where's Brenda? I'm about to go in when a voice says behind me.

" What are you doing dumbass. Trying to get yourself killed?" I turn around and Brenda and Jorge are there. I huddle down with them and say,

" They're not looking for you. Go, run, don't get driven down with us."

They look at me and they start running away. I see Vince on a truck loading up a heavy gun. Minho and Newt have snipers along with Fry and Aris. A WICKED guard behind something throws in a shock grenade. The guards come and drag them to the middle where no fires are. They put them on their knees and scan their necks. When everyone is rounded up I keep watching, waiting for when I turn myself in.

" Where's Thomas?" Janson says.

" Right here." I walk toward the group and WICKED guards put my arms behind my back and make me kneel down next to Minho.

" Bring her in!" Janson says into a mic. A berg appears from the distance and lands in front of us. Guards and Ava Paige walk out of the berg.

" Ava Paige." Mary says and stands up.

" Mary always thought we would meet again. Of course not under these circumstances. Sorry for the damages."

" Well at least my conscience is clear."

" So is mine."

A gunshot goes out and Mary stands there with blooding soaking into her shirt. Vince fights off the guards on him and catches Mary before she falls. He holds her close and cries when she takes her last breath.

" Load 'em in! Janson says.

I bring the bomb out of my coat and flip the cover off.

" Stand down otherwise I'll press this button."

Teresa emerges from the crowd with guards behind her.

" Thomas don't do this!" She says

" What's this?" Newt asks.

" Teresa. She's with them. She called them here." I say.

" It's the only way. WICKED is good." Teresa says.

I tear up just thinking how what I say next will hurt her a lot. " I thought I could trust you. I THOUGHT THAT YOU WOULDN'T BETRAY ME LIKE THIS." I say to her.

" Now no one moves." I say.

I'm about to throw the bomb when Jorge driving a semi truck coming crashing through. Everyone moves and fights the guards. Gunshots are heard all around and guards start loading up people. I run up the hill, Newt and Minho follow. We run to the truck where Vince gets in and fires up a big gun. Minho goes down the hill and I forget this is a part of our plan. A guards shocks him with a gun and Jorge has to hold me back to stop me from saving him. I throw my bomb at a pile of guards and light it up. The berg lifts off and the last thing I see is Teresa standing at Ava Paige's side.

The next morning:

" Okay. We continue with our plan. We have a transmitter on the berg and apparently in six months a train is traveling with all of the people who were taken. That's were we go."

Everyone agrees. And our plan is once again set in motion.
