Violet's POV

After Remmy had left the lobby area, I had stood frozen behind the counter. I tried to think about how Remmy's stay would effect all of us. I knew that Seth and Mason had both gone out with Remmy. When they had argued, Seth had mentioned how Mason had stolen Remmy from him. I knew there was a big, and probably complicated story behind it all. I just hoped no more arguing would occur. I didn't like fighting and I really didn't want to have to break up any more of them. I also hoped I would be able to stay as far away from Remmy as possible. I knew she had something up her sleeve and I didn't want to have to find out what it was.I hoped that I could get through the next two days without any problems. I laughed at myself; that would be as likely as Seth and Mason being good buddies again.

I finally recovered myself, and headed up to the guest rooms. Knocking on the doors and making sure the guests had checked out, I started to make beds. It took me the better part of an hour, and by the time I was done, I went back down to the sitting area. I had started a good novel that I wanted to read. I got the book down from the bookshelf and made myself comfortable in an antique chair. I planned on reading for the rest of the afternoon; I had no other plans; Seth and I had spent time together yesterday and I figured he had plans for today.

After only a couple of minutes, however, I was interuppted. Two hands suddenly covered my eyes. "Guess who?" A familiar voice called out. "Seth, what are you doing?" I asked, laughing, as I leaned my head back, trying to see him. He uncovered my eyes, and I turned my torso so I was facing him. He leaned in, and our lips met for the first time today. The kiss was short and sweet.

Pulling back, he smiled. "Wanna do something fun?" He asked me, smiling. I could tell he had something planned from the excited way he kept grinning. I pretended to debate about it. "Umm... well, I'm actually going to be pretty busy this weekend..." He put his arms around my waist, and before I could think he had me up into his arms, bridal style. My breath came out in a gust. "What are you doing?" I asked him, my voice breathless. "Trying to convince you to come with me." He leaned in, kissing my cheek. I couldn't breathe; my breath caught in my throat. His lips lingered on my cheek, and then slowly made their way down to my neck. He gently kissed my neck and I found a shiver making its way up my spine.

"What about now?" I shook my head, but grinned. He could see my willpower weakening, and his lips finally went up to mine. His kiss was so convincing, it wasn't fair. I found myself finally shaking my head up and down. "Okay, okay!" I said, pushing him away and laughing. "I'll go with you." A huge grin lit up his face and he let me down, satisfied. I wondered idly how he was able to hold me up for so long without seeming to be affected by my weight.

"Now that's what I like to hear!" He took my hand, and started to lead me out the door. I had no idea where we were going, but I allowed him to lead me out the door into the unknown.

 Seth’s POV

We drove down the coast, the ocean on our right. There were no other cars on the road, and the winding turns were oddly relaxing and comforting.

I looked over and saw Violet was smiling, looking out the window at the ocean like she always seemed to do. When she noticed me staring, she looked over, a sheepish grin on her face. “I’m sorry.” She replied. “I just get so absorbed by the beauty of all this.” She nodded her head towards the ocean, and I grinned in understanding.

I had been able to convince Violet to ride in my Lamborghini. It had been a struggle, but eventually I was able to persuade her. I don’t know why she didn’t like riding in it; it was a very nice car, very fast, and the sleek way it turned was perfect. Riding here with her towards the date I had planned for us, I could almost forget about earlier today.

Lunch with Remmy had been uncomfortable, to say the least. Running into her in the hallway had been completely unexpected. I hadn’t seen all of them at dinner last night either, so I had no idea they were even in the area. I was glad that we’d been able to clear everything up, although I had a sinking feeling the worst wasn’t yet over.

I was going to take Violet somewhere amazing today. I had found it a couple of days ago while I was driving around and from the moment I saw it, I knew Violet would love it. It was secluded, a perfect place for a date.

Looking to the side of the road, I saw that the place was coming up. Steering the wheel, the car turned and made its way down the road to the beach. Situated at the edge of the grass where the sand and grass met, was an old building. It was small, but cute; a traditional cottage building commonly located on beachfronts. The exterior was wood, which had been painted white. The paint was chipping and the original color was beginning to show through. Nevertheless, the place was exactly what I pictured a beachfront cottage to look like.

Parking outside the cottage, I slowed the Lamborghini to a stop. Turning the car off and taking the keys out of the ignition, I opened my car door. I walked quickly, wanting to be able to open Violet’s car door for her. Every previous time I had tried to do this, she had always been quicker, opening the door herself. She wasn’t used to being treated like a lady, but I hoped if I continued to insist upon opening her door for her, she would eventually allow me to.

By the time I reached her door, she had it partly opened. “No, no, no.” I told her, putting my hand on hers, forcing her to stop opening the door. “What?” she asked, quizzically. “Allow me.” I said, proceeding to open her door and extend my hand. She blushed crazily, causing my heart to flop happily, and grabbed my hand. I pulled her out of the car and then locked it.

“You know, you really didn’t have to do that.” We walked up to the cottage, holding hands. “Yes, I did.” I shrugged my shoulders. “I could have opened it.” She insisted. I stopped and turned to face her. “Violet, you deserve to be treated like a lady should be treated.” She started to speak up again, probably to argue, but I stopped her, putting my finger to her lips. “Please.” I stared into her eyes, and the resistance left them. I smiled, moving my finger so my hand was cupping her cheek.

She smiled. I leaned in and we kissed. It was sweet and gentle. If I wasn’t so excited about what I was about to show Violet, I would have had a hard time pulling back from those irresistible lips.

When I pulled back, she pouted, her bottom lip jutting out. She looked so adorable my heart melted. I grabbed her hand and pulled her to the entrance. Opening the door, we headed inside. Inside it was plain, with a counter to the left of the door. On the other side of the building was a restroom and another small room. I couldn’t see what was in it, however, because the door was closed. The counter was manned by a middle aged woman. She smiled when she saw us. Violet and I walked over to the counter.

“How can I help you today?” she asked us. “We’d like lessons since she is a beginner.” I jutted my thumb toward Violet. She looked confused, and her eyebrows were crinkled in confusion. Before she could ask I continued. “And then we’d like to rent equipment for the day.”

The woman rang me up and I paid with my credit card. The few times I looked over Violet looked very confused. When I was done paying, the lady told me, “Your instructor should be here in a couple of minutes. You can sit in the seats over there and wait if you’d like.” She gestured toward the small sitting area on the other side of the building.

Violet and I walked over to the chairs. Once situated, Violet turned to me. “What are we getting lessons for?” She asked me. I smiled with glee when I replied, “We’re going scuba diving.”
