As they entered the Gryffindor common room, the warm glow of the fire and the chatter of fellow students greeted Y/N and Ron. The familiar comfort of their house embraced them as they settled onto a cozy couch together. But something caught Y/N's attention. Sitting on another couch nearby was their dear friend, Harry Potter, engrossed in a book. Y/N exchanged a quick glance with Ron, curiosity dancing in her eyes.
She gently poked Ron's side and nodded toward Harry. "Hey, look who's deep in a book over there."
Ron followed her gaze and chuckled. "Well, I'll be—Harry reading a book voluntarily? Now that's something you don't see every day."
Y/N giggled and gave Ron a playful nudge. "You know, reading can be quite enjoyable. Maybe he's discovered a new hobby."
Ron smirked and raised an eyebrow. "Right, because Harry's all about picking up hobbies, especially ones that involve books."
With a mischievous glint in her eye, Y/N decided to investigate further. She stood up and made her way over to Harry, who was so absorbed in his reading that he hadn't noticed her approach.
"Hey, Harry," Y/N said with a friendly smile as she peered over his shoulder, trying to catch a glimpse of the book's title.
Startled, Harry looked up, blinking in surprise. "Oh, hey, Y/N. Didn't see you there."
Y/N chuckled. "I can tell. You seem really into whatever you're reading."
Harry closed the book and placed it on his lap, a sheepish grin spreading across his face. "Yeah, it's actually a Muggle novel that Hermione recommended. Thought I'd give it a try."
Y/N raised an eyebrow in mock surprise. "A Muggle novel? Hermione must have really convinced you."
Harry laughed, rubbing the back of his neck. "Yeah, well, she insisted that expanding my literary horizons wouldn't hurt."
Y/N took a seat next to him. "So, how are you finding it?"
Harry's expression turned thoughtful. "Honestly, it's different from what I'm used to. But there's something relaxing about getting lost in a story that's not connected to magic or wizarding world problems."
Y/N nodded in understanding. "I can see that. Sometimes it's nice to escape into a world that's completely different from our own."
Harry's green eyes lit up. "Exactly! And you know what? I'm actually enjoying it."
Y/N grinned, genuinely happy for her friend. "Well, I'm glad you found something new that you like."
Just then, Ron appeared beside them, wearing a mock-astonished expression. "Harry Potter reading a Muggle book? The world truly is coming to an end."
Harry rolled his eyes playfully. "Oh, come on, Ron. It's not that dramatic."
Ron chuckled and patted Harry on the back. "Nah, mate, I think it's great. Everyone needs a bit of variety."
As they chatted, Hermione entered the common room, her nose buried in a thick tome. She noticed Harry's book on his lap and raised an eyebrow. "Harry, is that the Muggle novel I lent you?"
Harry grinned and nodded. "Yes, it is. And I have to admit, Hermione, you were right. It's quite interesting."
Hermione's eyes sparkled with triumph. "I knew you'd come around. Muggle literature has a lot to offer."
The group shared a laugh, and Y/N couldn't help but feel a warm sense of camaraderie. Their friendship was built on moments like these—moments of teasing, sharing, and supporting each other in the little things that made life at Hogwarts special.
As the evening wore on, the group of friends settled into a comfortable rhythm. Hermione joined them on the couch, and the conversation flowed effortlessly. They discussed everything from schoolwork to Quidditch, to the latest magical creatures Y/N had encountered during her expeditions.
Eventually, Harry closed his Muggle novel, content with the time he had spent reading. He looked around at his friends, a genuine smile on his face. "You know, this might just become a regular thing for me—reading Muggle books, that is."
Y/N clapped him on the back. "Who would've thought? The Boy Who Lived, now a fan of Muggle literature."
Ron chuckled. "You really are full of surprises, mate."
As the night grew later, the group finally bid each other goodnight, promising to meet up again soon. Y/N and Ron headed up to their dormitory hand in hand, their hearts full from spending time with friends who felt like family.
As they settled into bed, Y/N turned to Ron with a playful grin. "So, what do you think, Ron? Should we start a Muggle book club with Harry and Hermione?"
Ron let out a mock exasperated sigh. "Oi, you're really pushing this Muggle stuff, aren't you?"
Y/N laughed and snuggled closer to him. "I just think it could be a fun way to spend time together."
Ron's eyes softened as he looked at her. "You're right. As long as it's with you, I'm up for anything."
With a contented smile, Y/N closed her eyes, grateful for the bonds of friendship and love that surrounded her. The flickering candles in their dormitory cast a warm glow, and as they drifted off to sleep, she felt a deep sense of gratitude for the magical moments that Hogwarts and their friends had brought into their lives.
