We all turned to see who entered the room, Sadie and Carter then yelled "Bast!?" Running across the room colliding with the lady's stomach in a hug.

"We thought, I thought you died." Sadie said as she looked up into Bast yellow cat like eyes, Bast lifted the siblings up into a bigger hug swinging them around, making a cat like purring sound.

"Aw, you guys do care, but don't worry the scorpions that attacked us, were only minions. When you guys were safe, I transformed back into muffin and slipped away "

Carter then complained " I can't breathe.. " she released him, he then held his chest winching before continuing "The magicians sent sphinxes after us, one landed on my chest, its been hurting ever since."

"Hold still, let's see what's wrong" she put a hand on his chest. She whispered something I couldn't hear and I could see that he visibly relaxed. Then she declared "It was a broken rib, you should be better now, but, still rest. Now what happened here?" Bast asked looking around the room then her eyes landed on me and her head tilted questioningly then she glanced at Percy and hissed a bit before calming. Her form glimmered, hurting my head for a second but then it stopped

" And with a clear sighted human and a demigod no less." she stated without malice but still defensive

Sadie chirped up immediately hearing her protectiveness and quickly started recounting what happened from her perspective to the lady calling Percy and I her friends even though, she just met us this afternoon as soon as she stopped to breathe, Carter jumped in to continue the story not missing a beat.

"So that's what happened after the magicians captured you!" Bast said

"We weren't exactly captured" Carter said

"Really carter how long were you in the first Nome before they decided to kill you?"

"Um about twenty for hours"

Bast whistled "They are getting rusty, Normally they would blast Godlings into dust, as soon as they even think you are one ."

"Wait, wait. What, Godlings, Demigods, Clear-sighted humans, Bast? As in the Egyptian cat goddess of protection? Magicians? Sadie and Carter can use magic are they magicians? Can someone please answer at least one of my questions?!" I said taking a big gulp of air, then exhaling, finally getting the feelings of my chest then calming down, I continued. " Sorry I just have a lot of questions."

"Yeah I want to know as well?" Percy asked, coming up to my side tapping the cap of a pen on his blade, the blade then turned to a pen.

"Did you guys just see that?" I said pointing at Percy's sword now pen horrified at the thought that I have even more questions.

Bast chuckled "Its always fun to see mortals try to understand the real world. Well how do I say this?" She said tapping her chin looking around the room " Oh, I guess I should clear up any misunderstandings, You Victor." She pointed at me " Are a clear-sighted human or at least I think you are, you can see through, what the Greeks call, the Mist, and what we Egyptians call the Du-at a force that hides things like this from normal humans and keep the divine world and mortal worlds separate" she points around the room.

It shimmered, returning to its original state, no broken glass, no water on the floor. Then It flickered and went back to is wrecked state.

"Next," she points at Percy "He seems to be a demigod." Seeming to hesitate for a second "A pretty strong one at that." I looked at Percy who mimicked my confused face
