As a member of royalty, some of the duties can weigh heavy on anyone's shoulders.
Some duties are down right impossible.

However, as a Princess, you are expected to full-fill them, no questions asked, no time to agree or disagree. You just had to grit your teeth and get to work, whether you liked it or not. Another responsibility was to maintain the reputation of a royal family member. No matter the situation, you have to be gracious, confident, understanding and last of all kind. Although, I would soon discover some people do not deserve even the littlest bit of kindness. On the other hand, there are some people who do deserve the world.

To be Humble.
I can say that there are many people in the world who do not know what it means to be humble and thankful for what you have. Even with a huge castle, amounts of money that could easily aid the poor, food and drinks that would stretch for miles and chests and chests containing vast amounts of diamonds and gold, there will still be greedy degenerates who will demand more. I do not respect these types of people in the slightest. In fact, I despise them.

Luckily, My mother, Queen Elodie of Eldevider, reminded me of the consequences of holding this much responsibility and power. She was the one who guided me and kept me grounded. My mother taught me the vital lesson that I should not see this power as a burden but to embrace it, and flourish with it, like a flower in the crisp spring air.  However, there was also people such as my father, King Sebastian of Eldevider, who contrasted the elegancy which my mother so gracefully carried. He was gluttonous for power and money. He never had enough. His selfish nature tainted this family with bitterness and discontent. To say I hated this man, who i had to call father, was an extreme understatement. He was a vile, cruel and a wicked man. In theory this would be okay to deal with, but on top of this, he saw himself as superior, with not a care in the world who he hurt with his actions. He was truly ugly. inside and out. I could never understand how a woman so dignified and beautiful could end up with a poisonous man like him.

To be respectful.
At a young age, I was taught what its meant by being respectful. No matter what class, how rich or poor you were. we are all the same. We all share the same colour of blood. Why should we define people by how they look, their quirks or characteristics and especially gender. Unfortunately, I was born into a world that was characterised by the belief that men were far superior than women. I find this statement to be far from the truth. I was raised to believe that no matter whether you were a man or women, we are all equal. I wish I could say everyone thinks like this, but after being around my arrogant father, there is, in fact, very little people who agree with me. I was also taught that women should not be able to fight. that we should 'sit still and look pretty'. Fortunately, I was mostly raised by my mother, as father was mostly absent. I wanted to be exactly like her. She enrolled me with an instructor who taught me skills in hand to hand combat and how to wield a sword. This proved to be very handy. Its taught me about how to restrain and train myself and to know when defending yourself was nessesary.

To be kind.
This was the most important to me. You never know the story of a persons life, whether good or bad, treating anyone with kindness can significantly brighten up a persons day and make them feel valuable and make their life feel a bit more meaningful.  You never know the extent of someone's troubles, physical or mental. So treating people with benevolence can change a persons life.

Even, as a Princess, its difficult to find someone who will reciprocate these traits.

There was one.

He was considerate. He saw the real me and treated me like a human. I will be forever thankful for him. he was, and still is, the light of my life.

This is where my story begins, Every hardship and decisions that lead me to this very point in my life, and how I used my beliefs to define the character I am today.

I am Arabella. Princess of Eldevider.
