There once was a tree

All the animals that nested there

Were free,

Until one day a pair

Of men arrived.

The poor animals were deprived

Of the precious air

They needed to survive.

As the men cut down

The needed tree,

The animals cried all through the ghost town

"We're not free!"

And once the men left,

The animals were blessed

With a new tree.

And once again,

The men arrived,

With their saws and axes,

Until the forest was gone.

Now young one,

Tell me humanity isn't destroying

Our planet,

Until we are devoid

of oxygen.
