Tony
Tony looked towards the ground for a few moments. It had been a few hours since the whole chaotic interaction with the Maximoff girl. Tony wanted to say something to Steve like 'I told you so.' but he didn't want to be rude. Afterall for some unknown reason Steve decided to trust the girl more than once. Instead of saying something unnecessary Tony decided to bring up something more important. "We should get going on your plan..." he suggested. The other Avengers turned to look at him. Clint nudged Steve's shoulder but he hardly looked up. "Steve?" Natasha questioned. Steve finally looked up to the other Avengers. "What's the point? Hydra already knows we're coming. If we don't move then the soldiers will come and we might as well be meeting them at the front door." Steve sighed and shook his head. "This was your plan." Tony grumbled. "I know and I said it won't work!" Steve snapped back. Tony sucked in a breath "Listen Steve, I know you thought it was a good idea to trust her but the facts are right here. We can't keep holding onto your trust. It's going to lead us into trouble. I can't put my faith in you if you put your faith in the enemy. We don't have much time before Hydra takes the bigger steps in their plan. We can't just sit by and watch because you think that there's good in all people. I'm not going to allow it. If you can't put an end to this idea I will." Tony stood up a bit straighter and walked past Steve. Bruce came up to Steve next. Tony turned his head around to hear their conversation. "I'm sorry Steve but he's right. You're choosing them over the rest of the world." Bruce sighed.
Steve looked up to Natasha and Clint. "I suppose you two think the same thing." he frowned. Tony paused "Steve, we're not trying to go against you. We're just doing the best thing for the world right now." he put his hand on his friend's shoulder. "Tony she's afraid." Steve hissed, pulling away. "Why do you insist on coming up with excuses for her?" Tony shook his head. Steve looked at him. "I'm not making excuses. If I knew that there was no going back I would've given up a long time ago. But there is. The Maximoffs are afraid of going against what they've known. I-" Steve was interrupted. "I am sick and tired of your words. If they actually cared about doing any sort of right thing then it wouldn't be so difficult for the rest of us to see it too. Your attitude, your opinion, your ideas just to talk with them are ridiculous! I don't care if you want to try to kill yourself just at a chance to convince them otherwise but I'm not doing it with you! I'm done with this shit! And the rest of us are too." Tony shouted. His tone was laced with more than just anger however. He was worried for his friend whether he wanted to admit it or not. He didn't want to see Steve get hurt because of his naive thoughts. Steve looked at him but Tony knew he wasn't going to follow him. "I can't give up on them Tony." Steve shook his head. Tony looked behind him but rolled his eyes. "And I'm not going to give up on the world. So if any of you want to join me I'll be making a better plan." Tony sighed walking off. He didn't look behind him but he knew Steve was still there. Tony looked to his left to see Bruce following closely behind him as well as Natasha slowly following Bruce. Clint must've stayed with Steve. But it wouldn't be long until he found out he wasn't going to change Steve's mind.
"I'm glad I'm still respected by some people." Tony said, trying to break the silence. Natasha didn't answer and Bruce looked like he wanted to say something but didn't. "Tony-" Bruce started. Tony turned and looked at him. "Tony I don't believe everything Steve says but... the only reason we're out here is because you wanted to help him. It doesn't seem like you remember that." Bruce sighed. Tony stopped walking and thought about what Bruce said. Until now he didn't even realize why the Avengers were dragged out here in the first place. "Then let's go 'help' Steve even if he has no clue what he's doing." Tony finally sighed. "Really that fast I thought we might be here forever trying to convince you." Natasha laughed. Tony narrowed his eyes at her but didn't say anything else. It took a while to find Clint and Steve but they seemed to be in the same general area from where they had previously been. Steve turned his head to see Tony. Tony sheepishly looked at him. "Listen I know I sounded like a... jerk. But I don't want to see you get hurt." Tony looked up at Steve. Steve seemed surprised by his sort of apology. Tony wasn't really going to apologize because he still thought Steve was crazy. "Tony, I wanted to say something too... I'm sorry I wasn't thinking straight. I really do believe that there is good in those two but it's not more important than stopping Hydra. That I do agree with you on." Steve nudged Tony's shoulder. Tony was surprised at his response but just nodded instead of saying anything.
