JANYYA LOVELESS was always advocating the term, "black lives matter." no matter if it was an racial debate in class or if someone had asked her about her viewpoint, you were going to hear her voice. but she had never expected the term to hit so close to home.
her brother was dead. KILLED. at the hands of two white police officers. something that tore her world apart - something that drove her into depression - which drove her into distancing herself from the world.

BASED ON ? - this book is based loosely on the movie, "the hate you give". of course i'll be using my own characters, face actors, and plot but this is where i got my inspiration to write this book.
