𝙊𝙉𝘾𝙀 𝘼𝘿𝙍𝙄𝘼𝙉𝘼 arrives at her parents house she gives herself an internal pep talk. she's dying to know what her dad is 'worried' about but she's still terrified to go into the house. after gathering herself she heads inside.

"adriana, finally," her father says from his spot on the sofa.

ana heads into the living to find her mother there too.

"we're going back to massachusets, for good," her father tells her, getting straight to the point.

just after adriana turned 18 her father got a business deal in la. she didn't have to worry about leaving her friends behind because the group already had the plan to move there once they were all old enough. alot of people may think being able live with your parents although you're not in your home town is a blessing. adriana didn't think so.

her father carries on, breaking her train of thought."my job doesn't need me here anymore."

"but you can always come visit us when you travel back to boston with the triplets," her mom comments.

"sure guys."

"we won't keep you long," her father says. "just thought we'd let you know."

adriana has been here all of 5 minutes but she's already eager to leave. "okay, thanks."

she quickly leaves the house without looking behind her. she slams her car door and huffs once she sits down. she's so focused on finding chris' contact so they can make up and he can comfort her. she's so absorbed in her phone she doesn't even notice the figure walking towards her. she feels someone looking at her so she turns her head to look out the window. she jumps back in fright before rolling down the window to talk to the person.

"god, alex, you scared the shit out of me."

alex laughs. "sorry. i'm looking after my mom's cat again, she's away."

"does she, uh, does she leave alot?" maybe if alex relates to her she can find some comfort in him.

alex rubs the back of his neck. "yeah, she's always on different trips, you know?"

ana sighs. "trust me, i know. my parents just told me they're moving back to massachusets. that's where i'm from.

"i'm sorry, ana. are you close with them?" alex asks, getting more comfortable

"no, not at all but it still hurts. when we moved to la last year i though i'd get closer with them. that didn't happen and now they're leaving," adriana tells him

"i get it. i was always close with my dad but when he died my mom got so distant," alex says.

"i so sorry, alex."

"nah, it's alright. do you want to hang out? it'll get your mind off of this." he offers, giving ana a smile.

chris flashes through adriana's mind for a split second. she was just about to call to make up but maybe she's not ready to talk to him yet. maybe alex will be good company for a while. ana quickly checks the time on her phone and sees that it's 5pm. she can spend a couple of hours with alex and then go to hannah's house after.
