After hearing what Kai said, The group stared at Mai and June with surprised expressions on their faces. Not like the two girls cared since they only cared about the person who saved their lives.
"Kai, they haven't been doing anything to you, right?" June said. This question snapped everyone out of their silence and caused Yin to glare at the two newcomers.
"HUH?! Do you honestly think that we're going to do something dangerous to the...." Yin started to say before June scoffed.
"It wouldn't surprise me if you planned on doing so. I mean, who knows what you intend to do to our savior!" June said.
"Why you..." Yin started to say before Mai interrupted.
"June, if they were truly going to do something to mother then they would've done something by now. Besides, you know that besides the three rebels these so called ninja was weak." Mai said.
"Weak? We are anything, but weak?" Jay said.
"Is that all you heard cause I'm more interested in why Mai called my brother, her mother." Nya said.
"They call me that cause I took them in after my so called husband ordered his men to kill their parents for treason. They were about to suffer the same fate, but I managed to get him to spare their lives. Since then, they called me mother since I often treated like my own children." Kai said.
"I see, but why didn't we know anything about this?" Trevor asked.
"The palace holds lots of secrets that my "husband" likes to keep hidden from the normal populace. I am aware of some, but not all." Kai said.
"That makes sense, but...when we took you away, why didn't Mai and June act?" Trixie said.
"We didn't act cause we like to use our skills in the shadows and also because we weren't aware of the abilities that you have." Mai said.
"Though by the looks of things, you didn't tell them anything about the Underground." June said.
"Um...is there something that we need to know about this Underground place? Cause we're pretty lost on what's so special about it." Jay said.
"We will explain everything in due time, but you should know that protecting the queen from the king and his forces won't be easy." Yin said.
"But we deserve to..." Nya said.
"Nya, I'll give you some basic knowledge about the Underground later. I want to wait to tell you the more complicated and interesting knowledge at another time." Kai said.
"You're seriously going to tell her?" Yin asked.
"She's my sister. I can't keep things away from her besides this is a chance for us to catch up on the time lost before I was brought to the Underground." Kai said.
"That does make sense, but be careful...you don't know who or what could be listening to your conversation." June said. Kai nodded and sat down at the table with the small group surrounding him. As they continued to eat, the ninja were intrigued on what this Underground is like and what secrets they had. Though those thoughts were interrupted when Cole gasped.
"What's wrong, Cole?" Lloyd asked.
"We forgot about Master Wu!" Cole said.
"Uh oh." Nya said.
"Um...Who is this Master Wu?" Kai said. Nya was about to speak, but an unknown voice cut her off.
"That would be me." The voice said. Everyone turned to look at the front of the table as the ninja started to panic and their guests stared at them with confusion. It was quiet for a couple of seconds before Master Wu asked:
So why would residents of the Underground doing on the surface?
Which made more questions pop up in the ninja's head about how he knew what the Underground Society was. Unaware that someone was watching with a smug grin on their face as they prepared to take back the queen for their king.
