"hiiii" I heard his voice again, after all these days.
"hii Lando" I replied, smiling widely at my computer screen, where he was, in all his beauty.
"So, how's L.A.?" I asked.
"eh, it's alright, would've been much better if you were here tho." he said with a slightly sad tone.
"yeah I know, London isn't much better. What's up with you? You look sad."  I asked worried for my best friend

"Yeah, well... I just miss you Y/N... I feel like I'm missing a part of me..." he said, almost tearing up. I haven't seen him like this for a long time, usually he was the happy and cheeky one, but not right now.
"I miss you too Lando..." I said gently "we are gonna see each other soon, I promise. Okay?" I tried not to tear up as well, seeing him sad made me sad.
"I hope so..." his eyes watering. He has been really emotional these past few weeks... It worries me
"heyyyy, don't cry darling, please" I tried to calm him down, but we both ended up crying.

Time skip
Lando has been away for two weeks now, but he still has three weeks to go. It's hard...

I was scrolling on my phone the other night and I saw text from Oscar. Wierd, we do talk every now and then, but we barely text. I clicked on the notification to see what he said.

"Hi Y/N, I know we don't text much, but this is serious. It's about Lando. I don't know what happened, but I cannot get him to smile. Not even a little. He's been so down ever since we left. He misses you... So much. I know there's not much for you to do to cheer him up, but I just wanted to let you know.
- Oscar"

"oh no..." I whispered to myself. I replied to Oscar saying:
"Thanks for letting me know Oscar, I have a thing on my mind tha might cheer him up."

I immediately went on my computer to look for the earliest tickets to L.A. I found one, leaving tommorow early morning. Few clicks and I had a ticket. I didn't tell anyone except my mom obviously. I went to my closet and took out my suitcase. I started packing my stuff, I decided I'll stay for the whole rest of his work trip. I am an adult so I don't have to worry about my mom not letting me go. And besides, she adores Lando. I kinda do too, I've never done so much for a guy. But don't think I don't like it! I love being there for Lando, he's my everything.

time skip
There I am, standing on the LA ground for the first time in my life. I texted a guy from the McLaren team to tell Oscar to go outside of his hotel room, where I was standing happily. I wanted to surprise him too, his text did make me pack my bags and leave to LA. He opened the door with a why-am-I-here look on his face, but as soon as he saw me his. expression immediately changed into cheeky smile. We hugged.
"What are you doing here? Wait does Lando know-"
I cut him off
"Shhh, he doesn't know. I'm here to surprise him." I said smiling widely.
"Ahhh okayyy, you know what, I'll text him to come out of his room to help me with something and he will see you in the halls. I'll film you guys, you are so cute together!" he nudged me with his elbow.
"shut up." I said coldly but started giggling right away.

"so, those doors are to his room" I just nodded my head.
"I'll go set my phone down and give you guys 'privacy'" He nudged me once again.
"fuck you" I barely whispered smiling like an idiot.
"I texted him to come help me."
"okay, thanks, now go." I giggled.

I saw his door open slowely, he looked so tired and sad. He locked his door and turned around. He saw me, he couldn't belive what he saw. He rubbed his eyes to see if he isn't halucinating. He isn't. I smiled happily and slowly started to approach him. He realized that I am actually there and he isn't hallucinating. He began running towards me, so I did too. We hugged tightly, he picked me up. I put my legs around his waist, doesn't seem like he minds.
After what felt like five minutes, he put me slowly back down, but maintained his hold around my waist. I looked at him, he had tearst in his eyes but he was smiling.
"I- uh- Wha- What are you doing here?" He stuttered.
"Surprise" I whispered also smiling but tears were forming in my eyes as well.

I had such an urge to kiss him. I've had feelings for him for so long now and recently Carlos told me, that Lando confessed he had feelings for me too, but still I am scared I'll ruin our lifelong friendship. I asked for Oscars oppinion about all of this, he said that when we're together, Lando is more himself and overall so much happier. He also said that he heard Lando and Carlos talking and that it's true what Carlos told me. I've always been skeptical about the fact that someone might like me.
You know what, fuck it, I live only once.

We stood there looking at each other both smiling. I then quickly leaned in and kissed him. He didn't mobe at all. I realized what I've just done. "Shit, I-I'm so sorry, I'm sorry, I gotta go" I turned around and got away from his grip. I was walking fast away. I didn't wanna face the consequences.
I was crying, I don't even know why. I was scared. Then I heard my favourite voice running up to me
yelling "Y/N! Wait! Y/N!!" suddenly I felt a soft hand wrap around mine, causing me to stop and turn around.

"Y/N..."
"I know, and I'm sorry, I hope we can still be friends, I know it's awkward now. I didn't mean to ruin our friendship. I'm so-"
I was cut off by a kiss. I couldn't move, I was in shock. He pulled away slowly, and stayed few centimeters away from my face. I stared into his mesmerizing eyes.
"Don't appologize. I never said I was mad at you. I like you Y/N, I have for a while now. I just... I didn't know how to tell you... But I do, so much." He whispered gently. I smiled at him as he wiped my tears with his thumb. He kept his hand on my cheek and we kissed again, but this time, both of us knew what to do.
