Powers Revealed

I gulped when we pulled up to a massive building. I saw kids running around, and some were showing off their powers, one guy shot fire out of his hand. Another boy was talking to animals. There was a lot of kids.

"Come on Mai, let's go to the principles office to get your schedule then i'm gone." My mother said. We got out of the car and I noticed some kids looking at me. Out of instinct I pulled the hood of my panda hoodie down, nervous habit.

I could feel people staring at me. Finally we were inside, but HOLY COW, there were more kids inside then out side, kinda. It was crowded though. When we entered the office a woman greeted us. "Hello you must be the new student, I'm Wendy, i'm the secretary. All the kids here are kind, just watch out for the uuhhh rougher students okay? Continuing on. The principle is that door to the left." She pointed.

"Thank you, she doesn't speak, much." My mother said. The women nodded and smiled. My mother and I knocked on the Principles door. The door opened and a boy around my age maybe, walked out.

He had red hair and red eyes. His clothes were black cargo jeans and a black t-shirt with a grey jacket. He looked at me and my mom in surprise then smirked and walked pass me. As he walked by he whispered something in my ear causing my eyebrows to rise up.

"Welcome to Hell."

I gulped and walked in the office. A Big busted women sat at the desk with a brown shirt on and a black sweater over it. She grinned. "Ah, the new girl. My name is Joanne, Here is the schedule. Please sit down." We sat down and I looked at my schedule.

I looked up and noticed the Principle looking at me with a small frown. "Mrs. Carter when are you leaving?" She asked. "Oh right now if you don't mind, I have to go back to work. Goodbye Mai." My mom patted my head and walked out.

The principle looked at me with sad eyes. "Is she always like that?" I shrugged. I noticed the principle looking at me intently. What is she doing? I thought. "Oh sorry for looking at you weirdly. I have a question." I nod. "Do you know why I am the principle for this school?" I shook my head. "Well it's because I have a power that almost no one else has. Do you know what I can do?" I shook my head no.

"I can Read minds."

I let my eyes widened but I kinda figured cause of the weird eye thing. THe principle laughed. " Anyway one thing I need to ask you before you leave is, What is Your ability?" I looked down. "Don't be shy, and I only read minds when I have to so please speak. I heard your voice in your mind, so don't be shy."

I looked up and then sighed. "I can control people and inflict emotions into people." I spoke softly.

I've never said them out loud before. I looked up to see the stunned face of the principle.
