Every morning Lana would walk to the coffee shop about a block down from her apartment building to drink coffee and talk with her friend Ariel. But Sunday morning was different. When she arrived it was empty except for one person. She ordered her drink and sat down and realized the person sitting there was Gideon, an old friend from church that she used to have a crush on, sitting at a table next to her. She said his name and told him to come here. When he sat down they started laughing and joking until their drinks came. Lana thought to herself "This feels like a date." At one point she laughed so hard she accidentally spilt coffee on herself. Gideon said "OMG, are you okay?" "Yes, thank you. I'm still as clumsy as I was back then." Responded Lana. "Haha. Let's get you dried off." Said Gideon as he takes off his shirt and hands it to Lana. "Thank you Gideon." She says in a nervously. Gideon wipes her mouth off with the collar of her shirt while smiling. "What are you smiling at?" Asked Lana. "Nothing." He said still smiling while looking at her. Gideon doesn't have a shirt on so he says "Hold on, I'll be right back, let me get another shirt." While he's gone Ariel walks over to the table still covered in coffee and starts soaking it up while talking to Lana. "OooooOooooOoo seems like you guys are having fun." Ariel says to Lana. "Shut up." Lana responds. "But did you see his muscles." Ariel said.
"Omg I know he's so...." Lana gets interrupted due to Gideon coming back.
"So Gideon how's Hannah doing?" Says Ariel
"Oh she's fine. She just got accepted into Harvard." Gideon responds.
"So are you single?" Lana asks Gideon.
"Yeah unfortunately. How about you?" Gideon responds.
"You know I've been here or there, but currently yes." Says Lana
"What are you doing here?" Asks Lana towards Gideon
"Lillian and my parents live here. So I'm visiting." Says Gideon
"Oh speaking of Lillian how is she?" Says Ariel as she delivers their food.
"She just turned 17, 5 days ago." Gideon responds
"But other than that she's not been doing good." Says Gideon
"Oh no why not." Respond Lana
"She's been failing all her classes and sneaking out in the middle of the night. One time we woke up and found Thomas in her bed." Says Gideon
"Yeah Thomas got in big trouble for that." says Ariel.
"I heard you got into William and Mary." Says Gideon to Lana trying to change the subject
"Yeah, I share an apartment with Ariel and Cole. Speaking of Cole he should be getting here soon." Says Lana
"So Ariel? Are you single?" Says Gideon
"Not at all. Me and Toby have been together for 4 years." She responds
"Oh nice." Says Gideon.
"So do you guys go to church?"
"Oh Uhm not at the moment some stuff happened at our last one and we are still trying to find a new one." Responds Lana and Ariel.
*ring ring ring*
"Oh, Coles calling." Says Lana
"Cole your on speaker." Says Lana
"Oh ok, Hi Ariel I assume." Says Cole
"And me!" Says Gideon in a jokingly hurtful tone
"Oh hi??? Uhm... somebody give me a name?" Said Cole
"Gideon!" Yells Gideon.
"Ohhhhhh. Hi Gideon." Responds Cole
"Lana I will be there in 3 minutes. Me and Victoria were just... Uhm.... Uh..Doing something and lost track of time I'll be there soon." Says Cole.
"Uhm hey Lana, would you maybe wanna idk get something to eat sometime?" Says Gideon.
"Oh um sure." Responds Lana
*ding ding ding* (sounds of the cafe door opening)
"I'm here." Says Cole looking shockingly handsome to everyone including Gideon.
"Hi Gideon." Says Cole.
"Hi Cole who's Victoria?" Asks Gideon.
"My girlfriend." Responded Cole.
"Ariel! Where's your bathroom again?" Asked Cole.
"It's right there behind the counter." Responds Ariel
"Thanks." Says Cole
A few minutes later Cole comes back
They all talk for about twenty minutes
"Hey, I gotta run Victoria needs me. But it was cool Catching up." Says Cole
"Bye." Says Everyone.
So now it's just Ariel, Lana, and Gideon in the cafe.
"Ok so I'm just gonna leave you guys to it." Says Ariel
(During Lana and Gideons 5 HOURS CONVERSATION GEEZ Ariel was listening and by the end of the night Lana and Gideon had exchanged contact info and they had a date planned for Saturday night
