PROLOGUE
I never expected this to happen. I never thought I would be in this deep. Sometimes unexpected things happen; little blessings. You might not realize it at the time, but you might end up exactly where you are meant to be with exactly the person you are meant to be with. It will take some sadness and pain to get to happiness but once you get there.....well trust me it's worth it. Maybe now would be a good time for me to introduce myself. My name is Chelsea Brighton. Just some average 17 year old girl who moved to a new town, blah blah blah. I moved to Aberdeen, Washington. I was originally living in Dallas, Texas. I was really thankful for the move because I absolutely hated the heat. And the sun. And the people I knew. My brother, Derek, was popular and hated the idea of moving, but I convinced him he could find some chick like Kristen Stewart out there. I didn't understand her appeal but it got him on board with the move. My parents were always worried about me. I never had many friends or did much of anything with my life. As long as I had my computer, phone, music, and a good book, I was fine. I only ever really left my room to get food, go to the bathroom, or go to school. School pretty much sucked but I never ditched for fear of disappointing my parents. I wasn't, what you would call, the most "sought-after" girl in school. No guy ever showed much interest in me and after a while, I got used to it. Not to say I wasn't lonely or didn't want a boyfriend; I did. More than anything. But I needed to prepare myself for what I thought was going to be a life full of boring, mundane tasks. Never feeling complete. Never being loved by anything more than a dog. Boy was I wrong.
