Emma woke up, her eyes were heavily swollen and her mind thrilled through what happened yesterday, she yawned, feeling she was actually with her back on a soft mattress and not on Norman's shoulder on the stiff sofa
Her eyes flustered open, seeing...
Yvette? Huh, that's strange
— "Emma!! Are you okay?" — She asked, the kid looking worried sick about her
Emma took some minutes to think, she was readjusting to her surroundings again, but something that locked her attention, was the white uniform that Yvette was once again wearing.
'Why was she wearing that again?' Emma thought for a while, she was too focused on finding out, that she didn't saw a hand approach her head from behind, smacking lightly her mind back to reality
— "OWCH! WHAT WAS THAT FOR?!" — She looked behind her, seeing Ray with a smug smile plastered on his face
— "What's with the overthinking?" — The raven haired boy asked, looking at Emma, he had his normal face, even tho she knew he was somewhat worried about her
'Ray too? He's wearing Grace Field's old uniform...'
— "Just had a strange dream! I was thinking about it and it doesn't make sense! Ughh!" — Emma ruffles her own hair, making it messier than it is normally
This was a lie, indeed. But Emma over the years got better at lying thanks to Ray, who thought it would be a good idea (which wasn't) to help his younger siblings to lie to people, even if she got better at it, Ray (and Norman) could easily read though all her lies, so he didn't really mind teaching her
— "Ok, i think the kids were worried that you took time to wake up, even if you wake up just after the bells rings or even earlier than it" — He said, bringing his hand up in a wave signal, going out of the room
Emma sighed, looking at now, not only Yvette, but Alicia, Phil, Jemima, Dominic, Chris, Sherry, and some other kids looking at her, expectantly
— "Im fine guys, don't worry about it!" — Emma smiled, her bright orange hair shining though the sun that got in by the espaces between the curtains
— "But-" — Chris started, looking teary
— "Don't worry Chris, it was just a strange dream! I'm fine!" — She said, patting the little kid's head
— "C'mon! We need to get going!" — She said, jumping off the bed and rushing to clean herself and change her clothes
'Why am i back in Grace Field? This is not possible, the Demon World is supposed to be blocked off to go back, and everyone looks younger....' Emma was eating her food, breakfast was always a good thing to have, even if in her usual routine she didn't take it or was just too lazy to make some
She bring herself to look at Mama
'Too bad she didn't survived....' Emma sighed, bringing the spoon with food into her mouth
Memories of her dead siblings came rushing back to her mind. Emma felt like vomiting everything she hadn't eat.
She regurgitate, her PTSD coming back and she was feeling sick by eating this, as soon she split out the food of her mouth, she started to cough
Cough a lot.
Mama quickly went to Emma's side, putting a hand on the orange haired girl, pressing her hand on her back, she made circles on Emma
— "Are you ok, Emma?" — Mama Isabella asked, looking genuinely worried about her kid
— "Just- felt something bad in the food, I'll be ok, I'm just fine" — She said reluctantly, not about Mama being too close, but about her trauma from before
