When they moved out of South Park, Kylie's only request for a place to live was no bathtub.

Kenny had to push her to spit it out, because he could tell she wanted to say something and was holding back for his sake.

"We should both feel safe in our living space, but to do that I need you to tell me how to make that happen," he said.

"I know, I'm sorry."

"Hey, don't be, it's okay. We'll find a place."

And they did, a two bedroom house.

Kylie can't stand baths anymore, she'll be taking showers for the rest of her life.

She also doesn't do climbing anymore, when she tried to make herself do it after getting off the mountain she had a massive panic attack.

So that was out of the question.

Kenny hated the dark and the cold, so did Kylie.

They keep the heating on through the night, even in the summer.

Waking up drenched in sweat is a small price to pay.

Meat is banned from the house, sometimes it's like the smell is still lingering from the mines.

When Kylie has nightmares about the sights down there, she throws up.

It's after one of these nights that she comes and wakes him.

"I want my hair cut, but I can't look at my own reflection without crying. Please help me."

She's there for him after his nightmares, so of course he's returning the favour.

"I hate their parents," Kenny says as he trims her hair. "And I know they're going through a rough time, but it's their fault."

Kylie agrees. "I blame them for all of this, they...they took everything from me."

The two have a mutual hatred of the mountain, the dark, the cold, the smell of meat and the White parents.

He stops his task to hug her from behind and kiss her on the cheek as she clings to him and cries.

It's a platonic relationship, neither of them are likely to want to be in love again.

Kenny had been too late to save Marjorine, and Henrietta had died in the mines.

Both of the White siblings Kylie loved had died, even if they hadn't been technically dead.

But the Crystal she knew had died when she turned, same with Jason.

One night, Kenny kissed her and she found herself kissing him back.

She pulled away after a few minutes because it wasn't the same, and he was a good kisser but it didn't feel right.

"I'm sorry," Kenny whispered.

"Me too," Kylie had replied, before pulling him into a hug.

A lot of tears that night.

Now, they're in the bathroom and he's cutting her hair.

Music plays from her phone speaker, just loud enough to hear.

Kylie had to stop wearing earphones after the damage from a Wendigo screaming in her ear.

Sometimes it would be heard again in her nightmares, and she'd wake up screaming.

Kenny feels bad he can't do more to help.

He knows she feels the same about him.

"My mom called today," Kylie says, finally breaking the silence again.

Which is never good.

"She said something about how my hair looks like Jason's...it was all I could see after she said that."

"Well, I'm glad I can help," Kenny says.

"More than you know."

They drag each other through life, they need each other.

They cope the best they can but they have each other and that's all they need.
