SPNPG Until Dawn - Closure

When the door opens, Jason is expecting his psychiatrist or a doctor.

He's sitting up in his bed with his eyes closed and a snarky comment waiting.

"Jason?"

It dies on his tongue when he opens his eyes and Kylie is standing there.

She steps into the room and immediately comes over with open arms, and he pulls her in when she reaches him.

It's an unexpected visit, but he's so happy to see her.

Kylie is crying when she pulls away and sits next to him on the bed, keeping his hands in hers.

"I'm so sorry, Jason. I should've have left you behind," she says.

"Hey, you didn't leave me. Don't cry, it's okay," he wipes her tears.

"I'm happy, it's happy tears. I'm happy to see you, I've been worried sick. Just...I'm glad you're here."

And forgive Jason if he can't believe what he's hearing, considering what he put her through.

"You're not mad at me?"

She gives him a small smile. "I was that night, I won't lie to you. But...then you were in danger and I didn't want to be mad, I just wanted you to be safe. I thought you were dead, I'm fucking relieved you're lying here alive and real and talking to me."

He's glad she came to see him, the first visitor he's had that aren't his parents since he arrived.

"I'm sorry, I never meant to hurt anyone."

There's a lot of apologies to be made, so it's a good place to start.

Kylie shakes her head. "You didn't know what was up there, it wasn't your fault. Marjorine's alive by the way, and she'll stay alive. We all made it out, including you."

For the next few minutes, they sit in silence.

Jason has so many questions to ask, but no idea where to start.

But he remembers something she said to him down there, something he saw...

"Kylie? Was...was Crystal that...that thing?"

She nods. "That night...your sisters were chased and fell off a cliff. If the police had searched the area more thoroughly, Crystal could have been rescued. She...she did what she had to to survive, but...the curse took her and she became one of them."

"Jesus...I'm sorry, Kylie. I blamed you for that night and you didn't do anything."

"You can't blame yourself either, okay? And I'm here for you, I'm not going anywhere."

"Thank you."

It's a comfortable silence they fall into.

"Kenny has a pet wolf," Kylie says, laughing a little as she says it.

Jason laughs too. "No way."

"Yeah, he found it and brought it back with him, named it Wolfie. Marjie wasn't too keen on it at first but she's always been more of a cat person."

"How's Stacy?"

"Let's just say she finally listened to all your 'stop being a fucking pussy' comments and is now in a relationship with Erica."

He's happy for them, he's happy for Stacy.

"By the way, Stacy wants to come see you. I said I'd check if you're okay with it," Kylie mentions.

Jason nods. "She can bring Erica, if she's comfortable. But if not, can you come?"

Kylie squeezes his hand. "I'll be visiting you every day anyway, so of course."

"Yeah, I hope I'm out of here soon."

"Well...okay, so Kyle is moving in with Henrietta so there's gonna be a spare room at the house."

"...are you serious?"

She nods. "I know how...how your folks are, and I want to help however I can. My mom was the one to bring it up, she told me to ask you."

He laughs. "I always knew your mom loved me. I'll do it, only if she picks me up~"

Kylie rolls her eyes and smiles. "Alright, I'm afraid I need to get going, but same time tomorrow?"

"Yeah. Hey...are we okay?"

She hugs him. "Yeah, we're okay. I love you."

He hugs her back. "I love you too."

It's a visit that helps both of them, along with the future visits and eventually living in the same house.

Kylie and Jason get the closure they need from each other.
