Ben's hand was intertwined with mine, the two of us walking together as I rested my head on his shoulder. Even though we were in just some forest, a myriad of emotions enveloped the second we grabbed hands, creating a magical atmosphere that seemed to transcend the world around us. It felt more colorful, more lighter.

As we walked back to the cave, a sense of anticipation filled the air. My heart fluttered with excitement, my cheeks tinged with a rosy hue. I couldn't help but steal glances at Ben, his presence comforting and exhilarating all at once.

The touch of his hand sent sparks of electricity coursing through my veins, igniting a fire within me that I had never experienced before. Each step we took back to the cave together felt like a step toward an unknown but exhilarating adventure.

I enjoyed our silent walk back, listening to all the sounds of the forest. But I knew this would be the only time Ben and I would get to talk.

"So," I began, looking up at Ben. "What were you like when you were little?" I asked.

"Like I was before, scared of everything." He said, looking at me with a small grin. "It took my mom and two teachers to pry me off her leg on the first day of kindergarten."

I laughed, "That sounds exactly like something younger Ben would do."

Ben gasped, a competitive smirk on his face. "Alright then, what were you like when you were younger?"

"I don't know," I admitted, "My mom kept me busy with so many things that I never had time for kid stuff. Like playing with dolls, having tea time with my teddys, and playing tag."

"Hold on," Ben said as he stopped walking, letting go of my hand. "You've never played tag?"

"I once tried to with Matt, but after I fell down and scrapped my knee, my mom banned it."

Ben stared at me with wide eyes, a look of distraught on his face as he contemplated what I said. "Tag," He whispered with a straight face.

"What?" I said, hoping I heard him right.

"Tag! You're it!" He shouted, tapping me on the shoulder before taking off sprinting.

"Oh, you little—" I chased after him with a sudden burst of energy, sprinting forward as my legs carried me swiftly.

Ben looked over his shoulder at me, laughing as he ran behind a tree. I picked up my pace, turning the corner of the tree. But when I looked around for him, he was gone.

Confused, I scanned the area, searching for any sign of movement. Suddenly, I caught a glimpse of Ben's boots disappearing behind a cluster of trees.

"Found you!" I shouted, running after him.

"Can't catch me!" He shouted, dashing away as soon as he heard me.

"Bet I can!" I said, his words fueling me with adrenaline.

Determined to tag him, I ran like there was no tomorrow. Each time my feet hit the ground, it would push me closer to Ben.

Eventually, as I was right behind him, I pounced and jumped onto Ben. Ben who was expecting it, turned around just in time to where he caught me and fell on his back.

We collapsed to the floor, our laughter filled with pure joy and bliss. I slowly stopped laughing, a smile on my face as I stared a Ben.

"Tag you're it," I spoke softly, watching his eyes look at me with pure affection.

Ben smiled, tilting his head before gently grabbing my face and pulling me into a kiss. I kissed him back, reveling in the softness of his lips.

He pulled away from the kiss softly, our eyes still closed as he leaned his forehead against mine.
