'How long has it been since you left? Everything feels the same... Seasons come and go. Every hour every minute every second it just passes.. Can't keep ahold of time.. I sit by my window everyday in hope maybe I'll see you here, you'll come like you used to.. But, you don't.
Its just as you said, 'it'll be as you never existed'... There's no trace of you, no matter where I go to find you. The only thing that proves your existence in my life is the pain I feel, pain that makes me gasp for breath. But I don't mind it, it reminds me I was crazily loved by someone. I'd do anything to have a glance of you. I miss you. You are my only family now. Please don't abandon me too.. Please come back Please!'
Sent... The mail made its way among the old mails, all unseen...
The young lad sighed sadly glancing at her computer screen. Her efforts to reach him were of no vail... Frustratingly, she bangs the desk on which the computer stayed.
It had been 6 months since the day she lost her love. The only person she loved left her and never came back. He had become a habit of hers and his absence affected her the most..
She met him while working at an NGO. Her life had always been simple but he brought havoc...

At the evening, when everyone finishes their work hours and returns back home, there was a girl standing at a side of road along with her friend.
"Arohi! Wait up for me!" A girl said to the one running ahead of her.. The sudden rain surprised both of them standing across the road waiting for a taxi.. Before it could drench them fully , Arohi started running towards the bus stand while covering her head with her hand bag.
"I can't get wet,I'll be in bed for days!" She turns to say this while running.
But the moment she turns, a car from another direction approached her speedily ready to hit any second. Her haste makes her not look at the sides and her eyes were already turned towards her friend whose eyes widened as the car moved aggressively towards her.
"Arohi! Watch out!" She screams with fear engulfing her heart.
But it was too late for her friend to even react at the situation as her eyes blurred with the bright, blinding headlights.
THUMP! She fell on the concrete road losing her consciousness.
••
Arohi slowly gains consciousness. A bright light source blurs her vision as She constantly blinks trying to adjust with the brightness. Turning to her side, she sees an IV attached to her hand. Towards the wooden white door she sees her friend standing having a conversation with a doctor.
She tries to get up while grunts as she fails. The sounds makes her friend and the doctor come towards her and they help her to sit, straightening the pillow at her back. The doctor then does some minor checkups and assure them to not worry about anything and that she was fine.
As he departs from the room, Arohi asks her friend,
"What happened, Nisha?"
"Nothing, Its just that you were so careless to get yourself almost hit by a vehicle!" Nisha says being annoyed by her friend, as it could have been lot worse than what happened.
"I am alright then!?" She checks her body to not see any wound or stitches that makes her relieved.
"You are, thank god! But something 'could' have happened to you. You were almost hit, Arohi. What were you thinking while running on that street?!"
"I am fine now. Nothing happened okay, and ofcourse it was not my plan to do my own accident. I didn't see the car. It was all unintentional. Don't stress out." Saying things she keeps her hand on her friend and gives a smile assuring her that she was fine.
Few minutes later, a man walks in. He looked in his mid 40s and wore a white tucked shirt pairing with black formal pants. He greets both the girls. Arohi nods hesitantly as she had never seen the man before, but Nisha probably did.
"Are you feeling good now, Miss?" He asks and she nods while turning to her friend showing her confusion about the man's identity.
"He is the driver of the car which..." She says and Arohi nods.
"Its a relief you are alright.."
"Yes, and ofcourse thanks to you, you managed to stop your car at the right time." Arohi replies.
"Yes, thank god my car stopped. The steering was almost out of my control and I feared about the mishap but fortunately my car stopped. It felt as if someone held it from the back." He slightly laughs.
He leaves the ward then after telling them bye. It was nothing serious as Arohi just fainted due to shock and soon after they both leave to their respective houses.
••
The next day, she goes at her workplace as usual. Luckily, none of her colleagues knew anything about the accident so she wouldn't be swarmed up with any questions.
Relieved, she sat on her chair and logs in the computer at her desk and starts her work.
It was 7.45 in the morning, still 15 minutes for everyone to arrive. She sat in peace and silence minding her own business. The silence didn't stay a long a the sound of someone's footsteps echoed the room. She didn't pay much attention to it as she thought it would be her coworkers. But the male figure stepped closer to her. She finds the stranger standing right in front of her and looks up to see the face.
She couldn't help starring at the stranger. He had pale white skin, coal black eyes and red lips that seemed smeared by blood, a built up body and tall height. Something in her didn't allow her to take her eyes off him. Lost in the black eyes, she couldn't think anything else.
RING! A message pops in her phone breaking her trance. She immediately looks away not understanding why she was lost in him..
"Who are...you?" She asks..
"Yes-" The stranger stutters in his deep husky voice as been fallen out of his trance now. "-Its..Siddhart.. Siddhart Khanna."
By time, she peeps into the message to see if from her senior saying he was the new employee.
"Oh. You are the new recruit." She forwards her hand. "I am Arohi."
He glances at the forwarded hand for a second before before grasping hers. As their entwined, she felt his hands to be awfully cold.
"Your hands are..cold." She says.
He looks into her eyes coldly,"They are always like that." She shudders inside feeling the intense gaze but doesn't show to him.
She nods before telling him to sit at the couch at the corner. As he goes, she tries to divert her attention towards work, but fails miserably due to the gaze of him on her all the time. She couldn't understand why he was starring her, but even she couldn't focus on anything else.
Days pass like this between them... He kept her distracted even if he doesn't do anything. He had this cold behavior towards everyone. Everyone in the office had gotten along with each pretty well but he didn't, he used to keep his distance with everyone else, minding his own business. He wouldn't even look at anyone except her. They both never spoke to each other. But still there was this unspoken tension between the two that Arohi couldn't understand.
