12 - rainy days

its been a week, and my mum finally decided to text me. she said they would be here in a couple of days, so thursday. which is tommorow. i decided that, as the very good student i am, i deserve a day off. so i did my best to make myself sound really ill, which consisted of me holding my nose, sniffing and coughing alot. since my parents wont be able to call the school i have to do it myself. atleast they believed me and let me stay home, i mean either way i wasnt gonna go in.

i stayed in bed for a while, playing games on my phone before i decided to finally get up before i pissed my self, so i went to the toilet, which ended up with my also taking a showrr and doing stuff in there. after i made a cup of tea, and sat on the sofa next to my sleeping cat, playing Stardew Valley on my Nintendo Switch. i spent around an hour or so doing that before i got a message from Kit.

i got up and unlocked the door so that Kit could just walk in. he had a key and a fob [thats the thing you tap to get into the building] anyways so he could get in but i figured it would be easier for him, also the chain was on.

i continued playing on my switch, moving my tea onto the coffee table since it was cold and pretty much finished.

20 minutes later, as told, there was a knock on the door. "ITS OPEN!!!" i shouted. my cat jumped up as the door began to open, somehow knowing who it was, and began rubbing his face on Kits legs, purring.

"hey" he greeted as he walked into the kitchen, "mini roll?" Kit offered as he took 2 out. "sure" he threw one to me, it ended up hitting my head, so i glared at him.

he joined me on the sofa, " you look extremely ill, do you have the plague or something?"

"oh yeah its like the 2021 version of the plague. im going to die!"

"thats sad."

"oh shush youd miss me and you know it!"

"mhm sureee"

"whatever!"

we sat talking for a while until we got bored and decided to go out and find something to do, wed probably just end up going to the park. i had to get ready though so i did that, and just as i finished there was a flash, followed a few seconds later by a low grumble. thunder.

"ughhhh of course thunders when we want to go out!!!" i complained as i walked out of my bedroom. "guess we just stay in then?"

"yeah thats probably best, but im opening the cutains and windows."

"why? its not like its sunny, like its literally raining."

"for the armosphere! obviously!"

"ah yes how could i forget?" he began to speak again, "sooo... movies then?" he suggested. "YES! but first we should make some cupcakes, also i need to scrounge around the kitchen for snacks and drinks... i should really go shopping." i said the last bit quietly and to myself.

so, we got out some ingredients, and used the cookbook my nan gave me that has all the recipes we could ever need and more inside! we got to baking, and while the were in the oven, Kit made the buttercream and iceing, for different variations, whilst i got out the rest of the food and drinks i owned and put them on plates in the living room. tonight i was gonna have to order takeway for dinner and tommorow i really need to go shopping.

once the cupcakes were out of the oven, we let them cool, spending that time picking out a movie to watch. yes, we are that indecisive. finally we were able to decorate them, we piped buttercream on, put spinkles, poured icing, made patterns and just made them look stunning, only for 2 of them to be eaten about 5 seconds later, and the rest within the next few hours.

we brang them to the living room and started the first movie, Mamma Mia, [that song is playing rn its such a jam] afterwards we were obviously going to watch the 2nd.

its been many hours and the rain is still pouring down from the grey, cloud filled skys. it was around 9pm, we had ordered pizza like 30minutes ago and it got here 10minutes ago, so we were still eating it. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom was halfway through and i was almost passed out on Kits lap, very slowly eating this slice of pizza.

the room was quite cozy, the lights were off with the only light being the tv, a dim lamp and some vanilla candles. Mr Floofers was asleep on my stomach, and i was practically asleep on Kits lap. we both had a blanket over us and Kit was running his hand through my hair which  was very relaxing. even the cats purring was relaxing, which it usually is anyways.

i let my eyes shut, as i was struggling to keep them open, and gave into the tiredness. not too long later, i felt slight shifting and then the tv got a bit quieter, so i assumed Kit turned it down, which i was thankful for since it was like extremely loud. a hand slipped into mine, and his thumb drew soft circles around the back of my hand.

soon enough, i was fully passed out, the movie still playing, the rain still pouring. it was all so calming.

this was very much meant to be a cutesy filler chapter!! that only really happened at the end tho

BUT OMG IM LITERALLY AT THE SAME POINT OF PUBLISHED CHAPTERS AND DRAFT CHAPTERS😭😭😭 well tbf i have a little bit of next chapter done but those r just random ideas for that

i rlly need to start writing more luckily ik for a fact after next chapter imma be firing out ideas lmao
