Family: Re-try

Colt awoke on a piece of the island in the Depths.
Cyrus and Jane were both unconscious on the same island.
Some soldiers were left scattered across small pieces of the island, but the kids were nowhere to be seen.
Colt walked over to Cyrus, shaking him awake. "Wake up..."
Cyrus slowly opened his eyes before jumping out. "Oh god... This place again... Is- Is Jane okay?!"
Colt nodded. "I think so anyway... She's still unconscious."
Cyrus rushed over to his former lover, desperately shaking her to wake her up. "Jane... Sweetie, please... Please don't be dead... Not like this... Not now..."
Colt felt a sense of dread wash over him as he looked at Cyrus - but it was interrupted by Jane's cough as she woke up.
Cyrus breathed a sigh of relief. "Oh thank god you're okay..."
Jane sat up. "The Depths... Again... Where's Colt...?!"
Colt narrowed his eyes. "I don't know... Probably with Faust and Pakki..."
Cyrus thought for a moment. "This is all Falco's fault..."
Colt stepped forward. "Speaking of Falco... Jane. You were working with him."
Jane got up. "That's true... And I'm sorry. He said there would be a new world... That this one would be destroyed along with everyone... But that if I work with him, me and Seth could survive." She said looking at her amulet on the ground - it was of one sphere overshadowing the other. "I'll help you if you want me to. I just want to be safe with him..."
Colt took a deep breath. "Why'd you betray him? Wouldn't it make more sense to just stick with him?..."
Jane looked into his eyes. "Because of Seth. I was trying to make sure he could live in a safe world... But after seeing Falco do something like this- I just... I have this feeling. This feeling that my chances for a safe world are better with you."
Colt stayed silent for a moment.
"All this time, you were trying to resolve the conflict peacefully... Even with the Legion on our tail. So..." Jane continued.
"I got it. I promise you, I'll do my best to make sure no one has to suffer like us." Colt replied.

Cyrus laughed out loud, the whole situation taking a toll on his mental state. "Maybe... Maybe through all of this crazy shit we can find a way to start again. Y-you- know... Just you... Me... And Seth..."
Jane looked at him for a moment. "The Legion took him from me, Cyrus. I don't think we can ever have something like that again..."
"So we'll make something better. Why... Do you think I fought to become a leader? You know I didn't want him to be taken... But... Perhaps if Colt would be willing to sign an agreement...? To make the Legions and Etrea allies. I don't know what I'll do with the Authority yet but..." Cyrus said.
"They don't know, Cyrus. The authority. It doesn't know about the attacks. So long as I can continue the negotiations with Etrea... We could have a mutual ally." Jane interrupted.
The both of them looked at Colt who smiled reassuringly. "Well you'd be helping me reach my original goal..."

Cyrus looked at Jane. "So?... What.. do you say?"
Jane looked around. "...Yeah. Let's give it another shot... I mean... What other option do we even have? We keep fighting?"
Cyrus smiled. "We can rebuild this... This bridge we burnt..." He said as he held onto Jane's hands.
Jane looked at him. "We can't ignore what happened, it won't be the same..."
Cyrus looked right back. "We'll make it better this time." He said before leaning in, as the two shared a kiss.
Colt looked on, with only a single thought in his mind. "We'd be like that too... Wouldn't we, Gwen?"

Faust, Pakki and Seth woke up in the Depths.
"T-this place..." Seth said. "Is this... Where you go when you die?..."
Faust nodded. "And the drowned god of this place? That's where Pakki's weird eye power stems from."
Seth smirked for a moment, taking a few steps forward. "Well, no matter! I, Seth Dalus, the strongest... Will conquer this place if I need to!"
Faust suddenly formed a complete bone barrier around himself and Pakki, but he only had time to block off Seth's vitals, just a few milliseconds before someone with a katana dashed through the three of them.
