"Night is not something to endure until dawn. It is an element like wind or fire. Darkness is its own kingdom; it moves to its own laws..." Patricia A. McKillip.

A girl, walking alone in the dark of night, is an easy target. She is an almost effortlessly caught prey, so a predator - a disgusting, dangerous, yet cowardly predator - makes her capture a game.
The predator, watching with a greedy lust, stays silent and hidden in the shadows of an alleyway.
A girl, cautious yet unsuspecting, walks a lonely road. Her footsteps echo in the night, and it seems as if she is the only one to hear them. But she is not.
The predator, deeming she is quite close enough, steps out of the dark for a mere second, to grab his prey and pull her into the alley, his domain, where they will not be seen.
A girl, terrified now, struggles to escape her captor's grip. She attempts screaming but is stopped when a dirty rag is stuffed into her mouth.
The predator, unseen in the pitch-black darkness, laughs in a sadistic and menacing way. He finds pleasure in his prey's obvious struggle.
A girl tries everything she can, violently kicking and squirming as much as she can. She knows what will happen if she can't get away. She's scared, this doesn't happen to girls like her.
The predator finds it easy to restrain her. He has no trouble in making her do what he wants.
"You're a weak little girl." His voice is deep and harsh - his breath stinks of alcohol.
A girl feels tears in the corners of her eyes. She can't see anything, but she can feel him, and hear him.
There's nothing the girl could do done to stop what happened next.
She's scared. The girl can't see, couldn't think - but she can feel and she can hear, even if nobody else seemed to be able to.
Where were these heroes when she needed them most?

It appears as if some of you liked my first version of this first chapter.. I didn't. I have better ideas now, an actual plan, and hopefully you guys will like that too <3
I know this is really short, but it's just a start - I do plan to be more active in my writing! The first proper chapter will be like the other, but hopefully written better (I accidentally deleted it.. oops).
Have a nice day!
