IZOMBIE

In the bustling town of New York City things were about to change.. "this is local news radio 6 coming into you live from New York City, we are in our chopper right now on sight of a massive traffic jam in the middle of town and it is nuts dow here. Wait.. What is that guy doing? He is like, running at that cyclist.. Oh my god.. He just tackled him, and he is like EATING HIM!!!! This is insane, hey look their is another crazy guy.. and anoth-" the radio man lost his words in mid air as he saw a "wave" of blood covered people run through the crowded streets smashing the windows on cabs and charging at pedestrians. "What the heck is going? This is just.. We're going to fly down a little lower to the ground." As their chopper flys lower to the ground, one of those "things" leaps off a hood of a cab and lands directly onto the windshield of the helicopter smashing the glass and grabbing the pilot. As the helicopter plummets to the ground, more and more zombies run through the streets and eat anything living that it sees. "Aye Kaityln over here, look at those guys run through the traffic! They are nuts!!" I say as we look out the elevator window wall coming out of an apartment building after a party at our friends apartment. "It looks like they're getting closer to us, doesn't it?" Kaitlyn states in sort of a nervous tone. Then after the elevator went to our level, I step out and go out the main doors to see what's going on outside.. They weren't just a group of drugged up hippies running through the streets.. They were something horribly worse. "Kaitlyn stay in the elevator somethings going on out there." I mutter as I stumble to get back to the elevator. Then my cellphone rings, it's Andrew from upstairs "cody where are you?!?!? There is a bunch of crazy people outside have you seen it on the news?" I then realize that this isn't just a flash mob sort of thing this is worse. "y-yeah I'm looking at it right now except.. I'm in the l-lobby of the apartment and they are gushing through the streets" I respond to him hoping that Kaitlyn is in the elevator and already up there by now. "well get your butt up here right now, I'm watching the news and it's...it's horrible." I flew into the elevator as one of those things outside spots me and smashes through the windows of the lobby running at me full speed. I jump into the elevator and I press the button to go up.. But it's stuck, the doors close and I can hear more and more of those things run into the lobby and smash into the elevator doors growling and gurgling. The elevator door starts to open as a thing try's to pry it open i kick its fingers and watch them break off and fall to the ground into a pool of blood. "Eaghh what in the worl-" I get interrupted as the ceiling on the elevator starts to move, then I see Katilyn taking a piece of drop ceiling off of its hooks and jump into the elevator. "let's go c'mon!!!" kaitlyn screams, I repeatedly press the button to go up but the elevator won't budge.. We were trapped. As we start to panic we hear gunshots! The growling outside the elevator stopped but screams from outside continued." Is that..the police or military?" kaitlyn asks. "let's find out" I say with my eyes wide in fear and excitement. I pry open the elevator doors only to look outside the building and see tanks, soilders, and jets bombard the city, killing people that are running for safety and those zombie things. "Make a run for it to the empire state building across the street I will meet you there." I state to Katilyn not knowing if I would actully make it there or not. As Kaitlyn wedges her way through the tanks and soldiers, pieces of concrete buildings crash onto the cement ground crushing pedestrians and cars. When kaitlyn makes her way to the empire state building a horde of those things come around the corner she was running to and stopped her dead in her tracks.. She turned around only to find another herd of those things following her she was trapped.. I saw her fall to the ground and be swarmed by the beasts screaming and yelling for help.. It was to late, I couldn't save her. I turn around to go up the emergency stair case in the ally behind the building, I weave my way through cars and soldiers watching tanks get covered in zombies and soldiers trip and get eaten alive.. It was a living hell, I worked my way through the ally only to come across a young man being eaten alive in front of my own eyes, he was flailing his arms and kicking and screaming... But to no avail, blood splatters on the wall behind him as he draws his last breath.. I slowly slip behind the feasting zombies and make it to the steps. "I have to climb up 3 flights to get to Andrew and the rest." I thought to my self, I knew that if I didn't go now.. I would never make it to the top in time.. Did I forget to mention I was afraid of heights?
