"Taehyung! We need to go! We can't be late for the wedding!" Kim Sungwon says, calling Taehyung who seems to be spacing out again.
"Oh, I know, uncle. I know. I'm coming." Taehyung says, as he rushes towards his uncle, outside the small wooden fence of their house here in the mountains.
"You silly boy. What were you staring at there, by the way?" Sungwon says, playfully nudging his nephew's side when Taehyung got beside him.
"Nabi... That butterfly was too pretty to ignore, uncle." Taehyung says, glancing back at their house, catching a glimpse of the same butterfly he saw when he stepped out.
"Maybe it's saying goodbye. *Sigh* I can't believe you'll soon be leaving us." Sungwon says, since today is also the day that Taehyung's set to live again with his real parents.
The Kims. One of the Kingdom's known noble families.
"Hah! As if I will not come by everyday to visit— you know I will, uncle." Taehyung says, playfully nudging his beloved uncle on the side as well.
"Ah, you better. You know me and your aunt are not getting any younger... If I were to be selfish, I'd ask you to stay with us forever... But then again, I know you deserve better. To be free, just like that Nabi you saw earlier." Sungwon says, subtly wiping his tears as he continues walking.
"Nabi? Mhm... Their lives are short, though? Ah, uncle, don't tell me, you're cursing me— Aw! Pfft... That hurts, uncle!" Taehyung whines when Sungwon pinches his ear.
"Tsk. Then you better stop speaking nonsense! Their lives might be short, but those butterflies surely know how to make the most of it, and also they're—.."
"Free?" Taehyung says, completing his uncle's sentence, given that he had heard it a couple of times before.
"Indeed... Free— that Nabi." Sungwon says, swinging his arm around Taehyung's shoulders as they continued to walk, while Taehyung glanced back to their old humble shack, taking a deep breath before moving his gaze forward, knowing full well that his life will be different from this day on.

Father,
I have gone to where the sun is shining the brightest,
Where the flowers bloom even during the coldest of days.
I have gone to where my heart is.
I may not be there, but soon I will be again. For now I shall see you and mother in my dreams. I hope you all forgive me, maybe not right now, but someday, eventually.
Dear father, I pray that you, mother and my brother remain in good health.
—Your daughter, Kim Yeonja.
...
A nightmare, Taehyung thinks. The moment his uncle dropped him off in their family residence here in the main town, they discovered that his twin sister, Kim Yeonja had run away with her lover. The oldest son of the prime minister, Taehyung's own best friend, Park Jimin. It shouldn't be much of a problem, for Taehyung had always wished for his sister's happiness, but Yeonja is to be married this afternoon— not just to any lad at that. She is to marry the crown prince.
