The Stages Before a Lovers Quarrel ~ A Jegulily and Wolfstar Fanfiction

Marlene picked her trunk off of the floor and took the courtesy snatching Lily's from her to take it to their shared dorm. Lily glared at her but didn't say any more than a light thanks. They eventually found their way to the door with their names imprinted into a plaque along with the names Mary, Emmeline and Alice. Lily pushed open the doors to see a girl with brown, frizzy hair and a toothbrush sticking out of her mouth.

"Mary." She offered her hand. "Mary MacDonald."

"I'm Lily Evans and uhh this is uh Marlene... McKinnon," Lily stuttered.

The two trunks the girl was holding slammed to the ground creating a loud bang. Right then, a girl with strawberry blonde hair popped her head out of the bathroom.

"Hello, I'm Alice Fortescue," She introduced herself. Another person shoved passed Alice and flopped on top of the bed furthest from the door. "Sorry about her, that's Emmeline. Known her since we were like 4, she's always been like this."                                                   

The girls spent the rest of the evening getting to know one another until it was late. Lily found out that Emmeline's family name was considered blood-traitorous. So were Alice and Marlene's family's. But Mary was a muggleborn like her. Muggle parents and like 3 older brothers. Lily and Mary tried explaining muggle primary school to them.

"Wait.. If you don't have a magic primary school how do you learn to read and write and do math and stuff?" Mary asked

"I think most of our parents teach us," Alice said. "That's what my parents did."

"Oh."

"Well anyways, I'm going to bed. Night," said Emmeline.

"There's no such word as 'anyways'," Lily corrected

"And I don't care. Have a good sleep."

Emmeline cast the lights off before anyone could make an objection, so, everyone else followed in fashion of falling asleep for the night, before waking up for classes bright and early the next morning.

James follows Peter, Remus and Sirius until they came to stop and he nearly knocked the four of them over.

"Watch it, mate," Peter said as Remus pushed open the door to find an almost empty room, besides from one bed which a kid was reading a new article from the daily profit on quidditch.

James immediately pushed through his friends into the room and shoved his trunk under the four poster bed closest to front door, collapsing on top of it.

"Hello," the boy across the room said. "Frank Longbottom. and you are?"

"Remus Lupin."

"Peter Pettigrew "

"Sirius..." Frank raised an eyebrow

"James Potter."

"Nice to meet you all, then," said Frank

By then all 5 of the boys had claimed their beds. James was closest to the door and Sirius' area was next to his -doomed to become a mess, despite their best efforts to keep it clean-. Remus' was next to Sirius and Frank next to he and opposite Sirius. That left Peter opposite his childhood best friend, and also closest to the bathroom. Most of the boys went to sleep immediately, leaving getting to know one another/know more about each other. Remus pulled out a muggle book his mother bought him as a sending off gift called 'Lord of the Flies'

"Goodnight!" James called out, no answer being returned.

(This next bit is not an electronic thing it's like the tempus spell which tells the time except an alarm. Don't come at me with your wizarding world logics)l
6:00. An alarm was blaring in James head, in fact it was destroying the ears of everyone in the dorm and probably the surrounding also. Of course his alarm still went of. How was it supposed to know he was at school instead of home, needing to wake up in time to see his dad leaving for work? Everyone in the room groaned.

"Who's alarm is that?!" Remus yelled.

"Probably James'," Peter screeched over the noise.

"Sorry guys! I forgot to turn it off, didn't mean to wake you up!" James apologized

Frank, somehow, was still sleeping soundly and his voice was hoarse as he asked "What 're you all yelling for?" Obviously he hadn't heard the alarm, just the commotion it caused.

"Nothing," everyone answered.

Nobody saw any point in going back to sleep and so they all took turns taking showers and using the bathroom to get ready for the day. Teeth brushing, etc.

The 5 of them regrouped after collecting everything they needed from their trunks and walked down to breakfast. Once again, Sirius saw his cousins watching him from across the room. Andromeda smiled at him while fighting with Bellatrix about something while the boys found a place at the Gryffindor table. Eventually Bella stood up and stormed over to Sirius, dragging Narcissa with her.

"Come, Sirius. Sit with me and Cissy instead of these mudbloods and bloodtraitors," his cousins voice shrilled. He didn't object as Bellatrix grabbed his collar and dragged him to the Slytherin table.

"I'll see you later," he mouthed to the group as he was pulled away.

"Sirius what were you thinking, sitting with those kind of people?!" His cousin asked.

"What does it matter, Bella? He's allowed to hang out with whoever he wants," Andromeda stood up for him.

"Ugh! That mudbloods boyfriend if yours is getting into your head, Andy."

"Wait! Andy has a boyfriend? And he's muggle born. What Auntie Druella and Uncle Cygnus? Won't they be mad?," Sirius asked

"That's why we won't tell them. It'll be our secret, ok?"

"Ok,"

An award-winning awkward silence consumed the four of them, which encouraged Sirius' feeling that he was unwelcome at the table as many of the surrounding Slytherins stared at him with distaste. It was another hour or so until the first class of the year started so, without eating any breakfast, Sirius left his cousins behind in the Great Hall and visited the lake to fill in some time. He watched his new friends as they laughed, not paying a single slice of attention to him. It's not like they have an obligation to care about him anyway.

A/n OMGGG I GOT OVER 1000 WORDS!!!!! I'm really excited by that. How did you guys like this chapter? I'm actually enjoying writing this now cause like, I wasn't for the first couple of weeks which is why you got no chapters. I'm probably not gonna post this chapter til Sunday tho or maybe Saturday cause I got this dance exam that I'm really nervous for but anyways. I hope you r good.
