Chapter 67: Flight or Fight

The scene opens with Tabitha sprinting down the stairs. She had quite the frightened expression as the large cat followed behind, trying to attack her. Tabitha and Cosmo made it to the lower floor where Phoebe was currently catching her breath from her battle. Phoebe looked at the stairs with her golden hues before making a comical frightened expression.

Phoebe: "Eh?!?! Tabitha, Cosmo?!?!"

Tabitha quickly leaped forward before saying.

Tabitha: "Phoebe! Cosmo isn't who he is right now! His beastly instincts has completely taking over."

Phoebe: "What should we do?.."

Tabitha: "We have to hold him off while Zeldris still battles fear down below!"

Tabitha slid to a stop as she stood next to Phoebe.

Phoebe: "We shouldn't hurt our friend..."

Tabitha: "I know, we just have to incapacitate him!"

Cosmo dashed and swung his right arm at the two with a growl. Tabitha was swift and manipulated her shadow to form a spiky shield to guard the two. The pressure from the hit was intense and almost winded her but she took it before manipulating her shadow to form a cage over Cosmo. Cosmo began to bang the bars, with each crushing blow on the bars, Tabitha's spell weakened.

Tabitha: "I can't hold him off for long.."

Phoebe placed her hands on the ground before chanting.

Phoebe: "Curse of Botany: Sunflower field!"

As Phoebe chanted her spell, sunflowers began to grow around Cosmo. They began to emit a yellow like aura. Cosmo began to feel calm, he stopped banging on the shadowy bars and stood still.

Phoebe: "Did..did we do it?.."

After a few seconds, Cosmo let out a loud roar once again which shook the crumbling castle. The sunflower field began to wilt as pure rage and hatred destroyed the peace of the flowers.

Phoebe: "I guess not.."

Tabitha: "I think..only Zeldris can calm him down. Zeldris is the only one that knows Cosmo the best out of all of us. But right now we can't get to him..he's battling the leader."

Phoebe: "We have to do this ourselves..Cosmo must be in so much pain.."

The scene changed and Zeldris and fear stood across from each other. The terrifying looking man didn't move as he watched Zeldris charge up, but as soon as his aura began to simmer down. A creepy toothy grin spread across his face.

Fear: "Your outburst..has come to..an end...how delicious."

Zeldris balled his fists as the aura faded from him, he cut his eyes at fear before saying.

Zeldris: "It doesn't matter, I'm still going to kick your ass and take down your crappy organisation. I'm getting Jack out of here at all costs!"

Fear: "Ohohoho..is that what you believe? It'll be despair that will wash over all of you..you see I'm not even the leader of our cult..I'm only a vice."

Zeldris: "What?!"

Fear: "Ohohoho..and our leader is the strongest. You were destined to be devoured the moment our surveillance crows laid eyes on you."

Zeldris gritted his teeth, the half eaten bodies fell to the ground as Zeldris lost his power.

Zeldris: "That's fine, I'll just have to beat the crap out of all of you."

As Zeldris had said that, he began to hear the song race through his head. A white and dark aura was emitted from him.

Fear: "The more you resist..the more painful it'll be when I feast upon you.."

Zeldris: "I don't plan on being your meal, freak."

Zeldris dashed forward toward fear. Zeldris used his curse to summon a small white sword before swinging it at fear. Fear swung his right arm blocking it with his meat cleaver, he then swung at Zeldris with his left hand. Zeldris dodged and threw a punch at him in return only to have fear dodge it. Fear chuckled before pushing him back.

Zeldris: "Curse of the moon: Crescent Moon slicers!"

As Zeldris chanted his spell, pure white crescent moon saws cut through the ground cutting the dead bodies in the process and they were sent toward fear. Fear stood prim before swinging his cleaver at the saws completely shattering them with his brute strength. As the saws shattered they emitted a bright blinding light. Fear was blinded temporarily and Zeldris used this moment to attack. With the momentum he had gained, Zeldris swiftly dashed forward before slamming his fist into Fears gut. Fear skidded back slightly before opening his beady yellow eyes. Fear grabbed his arm before looking down at Zeldris with a frightening expression, he then opened his mouth ready to bite his head off. Zeldris swiftly chanted.

Zeldris: "Curse of the moon: "White wall!"

Suddenly a small white wall, erected over Zeldris forcing fear to bite it instead. His teeth were still intact but the wall crumbled. Zeldris kneed fear which forced him to let go. Zeldris then backflipped onto his hands before jumping back to gain distance.

Fear still had his grin..his emotion hadn't changed since the beginning of the battle.

Zeldris: "I'll wipe that damn look off your face, you freak!"

Fear: "Ohohohoho..."

Zeldris raised his right hand before chanting.

Zeldris: "Curse of the moon: Moon ray!"

As Zeldris changed his spell, a beam of pure white light was expelled. Fear watched it get closer but then..he opened his mouth to say.

Fear: "Curse of fear: Fear projection."

As Fear chanted that, a red hologram appeared of him and the beam reflected upwards destroying the ceiling. Zeldris scoffed but used this opportunity to get closer to attack, Zeldris summoned a longer sword made of pure moon energy before swinging it at Fears head. The blade cut through the tough red skin before completely slicing off his head. Fears body crumbled before as head rolled on the ground. Zeldris was panting as he held his arm.

Zeldris: "It's over...that bastard is dead.."

Zeldris began to walk forward to go to the next floors.

Zeldris: "Now, we can get Jack out of here..I doubt anyone is able to fight any-"

A chill went up Zeldris's spine, he felt fear surge through him. Sweat drops streamed from his head as he looked over his shoulder. What he saw was truly horrific. Fears spine sprouted from his body, the sides formed centipede like legs and his head seemed even more twisted.

Zeldris: "How are you still alive?!"

Fear: "Curse of fear: "Petrifying Nightmare!"

Zeldris..couldn't escape, he looked directly into the screen which locked him in a terrifying nightmare.

Fear: "You should've fleed..now you will be apart of the countless spirits that have satisfied my diet."
