Age gap POV König short story

It's the day before you are being sent on a mission one where you will do recon and you are being sent alone. You badly want to see König you know this mission is a dangerous one and you're not sure just like every other mission if you will be back. Walking swiftly you burst open the flap to König's office/tent. He is sitting there in full gear cleaning his gun. Turning to you his eyes show confusion he then looks behind you as he stands he arms crossed to see if anyone else entered behind you.

"And what do you think you are doing solider? Someone better be dead for you to burst in without a summons" His voice stern and he takes a step towards you. You look up at him to remake eye contact his body towering over your own.
"I- I'm sorry sir but I had to talk to you before tomorrow" you mouse out now thinking you may have messed up or miss read his signals.
"What about tomorrow?"
He presses.

"I go on a recon alone sir and I- I didn't want to leave without seeing you first"
You kept his eye contact and you see a hint of something that wasn't there when you first walked in. ~he didn't know~ you thought to yourself.
"You are doing what? Who approved that???" He temper still remained calm but the irritation and worry builds in his voice. "Price sir I have not other option and judging by the briefing I'm not sure I'll be back seems he would rather lose one solider than a whole crew. Plus I'm a good shot and pretty good at blending."

You spat out but this isn't want you really wanted to talk about. You wanted to tell him your feelings. He took a deep breath ready to sigh it out but you step forward wanting to say it all before you lose your chance.
"But König that not what I wanted to talk about I wanted to say that if something goes wrong tomorrow I want you to know that I love you. I always have and I'm not scared about the mission I'm scared that I may die tomorrow and you would never know. Know how I truly felt" you place your hand on his chest but the silence is almost deafening.

You waited a few more moment then decide to give up you said your peace. You dropped your hand and turned to leave. Before you could take a step you felt his hand enclose around your wrist and pulling you back into his chest, your back on him. His other hand rest on your waist keeping you close. "We can't I can't do that your almost ten years younger and your rank we could start trouble within the camp and I could be demoted."

Your ears burn with anger all he said you already know but shouldn't love come before that! "Then why give me all these signals? Why keep me close only to also keep me so far away!"
You started to yell but then he turns you towards him his hand that was on your wrist is now under your chin tilting your face up to him. You study his eyes and see conflict. Taking this moment you move your hands up to his face and push his hood up uncovering just his mouth and kiss him softly just a peck that behind it lies all your feelings for him.

To your surprise he doesn't pull away instead he lifts you wrapping your legs around his waist and puts his mouth back in your kissing you harder this time. A tear forms in your eye and you try to ignore it as he carries you to the bed. Laying you back on it he stayed between your legs. He removes his hood to show us face fulling and you try not to ogle it as the tear falls softly.
"I said I can't but not that I wouldn't little one" he moves to kiss away your tear gently.
"I hope you're good at secrets because you are gonna be mine even if no one can know" he kisses you again this time hungry for more.
