Chapter 1

It was a beautiful sunny morning in Lahore, the city that is considered as the heart of Pakistan.
People certainly think that Lahore is only limited to the old cultural areas where the British once ruled. But what many people living outside Lahore don't know is that Lahore has another side to it as well which is way more modern and advanced.
In this modern developed area of Lahore, the area of Wapda Town is also located. Wapda Town is a huge area consisting of different well developed societies within it. In one of these societies, a huge black and white interior bungalow stands.
Our story starts from this bungalow where Mr.Zulfiqar Ahmed is currently getting ready to reach his office on time.
"Asiya......Asiya I am getting late. Serve the breakfast quickly please" he said to his wife.
"Yes. It's done almost" said Asiya.
"Is Sabah ready yet?" he asked Asiya.....who was about to answer till they heard the voice of their elder daughter.....
"Yes Papa I am ready"......
Said a young beautiful woman stepping down the stairs.
She was wearing dark blue color scrub with her white lab coat hanging by her arm.
Sabah passed a beautiful heart capturing smile to her parents......her beautiful smile.
Her beautiful brown eyes were also smiling with her, her mid length wavy brown hair were tied up in a pony tail.
"Come dear, let's have breakfast".... Sabah's mother said to her.
Asiya was a graceful woman in her fifties.An obedient wife and a doting mother.
"Where is Ramsha?" Zulfiqar asked about his younger daughter.
"As always she is sleeping. Afterall that's what a semester break is for right?" said Sabah.
The three of them had breakfast after which the father daughter duo left for their respective work places.
Sabah used to work as a physiotherapist in this tertiary care hospital of Lahore. She had a passion to help people since a young age so she chose this field where she is able to help different people improving their quality of lives and overcoming their disabilities.
"Hey Sabah. How are you?" Asked her friend and colleague Zara.
"I am good" Sabah answered smiling.
"So you are coming at my birthday party tonight right?"
"I don't know. I have to ask papa first."
"Oh come on Sabah. You are 25, you can make your own decisions now"
Sabah laughed...
"When I say this to my father all he replies back is that for him I will always be his little girl"....
Zara also chuckled.
"But don't worry I will come. Hopefully Papa will agree."
And eventually Zulfiqar did agree. But only on this one condition that she will be back before 11pm at night.
Sabah reached Zara's home at 8pm which was located in Defence Housing Authority.
It was a beautiful mansion whose garden was decorated with lights and flowers. Sabah was wearing white dress with her hair left open. She was usually a no make up girl but since she was going to a party so she had minimal makeup on. Her favorite makeup products were her tint and eyeliner.
Zara was cutting the cake as everyone in the garden was cheering for her, Sabah was also among them only until her brown eyes landed on a pair of green eyes which were looking directly at her.
For unknown reason her heart skipped a beat. Throughout the party she felt those green eyes gazing at her. Whoever he was, was definitely making her nervous.
She was standing in a corner when Zara approached her...
"Hey. Why are you standing here alone? You had the dinner?"
"Yeah...I did..." she said while trying to smile but was evidently looking uncomfortable.
"Sabah what happened? You are clearly not looking ok?"
"Ok....ok....who is that guy?"
Sabah diverted Zara's attention towards the man with green eyes....who was still glancing at Sabah.
Zara followed her direction and saw the man dressed in black dinner suit....
"He....oh he is.....son of Baba's close friend. His name is Burhan Elahi".
