I was sat in my room, scrolling through Twitter when I got a call.
"Hello?"
"Joss, big news," It was Mike
"What's up, Mikey?
"I'm going on as Jack tonight!" He said nervously
"Really!"
"Yes."
"I wish I had tickets," I sighed
"I have one, I'll send you the barcode. I want you here."
"Thank you so much, Mike. I'll talk to you after?"
"Of course. Bye Josie."
I hung up and immediately started getting ready, I put on some brown trousers and a black turtleneck. I paired it with black heeled ankle boots and gold jewelry. I saw Mike sent me the ticket and I rushed our the door to catch the show. Ig was at 7:00 and it was currently 6:30. A little last minute.
. . . I arrived at the theatre and rushed in. I got my ticket scanned and went to find my seat. Row E seat 25. Perfect. A few minutes after I sat down the overture started and the house lights went down.
. . .
Mike was wonderful. I mean, truely great. He came out for his bow and I caught his eye. I blew him a kiss and he winked at me. The curtain closed and I went out to stage door. I saw all my friends. They all signed my playbill even though it didn't really matter. Then Mike walked out, I waited patiently for him to get to me. Once he did I grinned excitedly. He pulled me into a hug. Once I pulled away, I handed him my playbill.
"Mike, you were so good!"
"Really?"
"Really!"
He finished signing my playbill and pressed a sweet kiss to my cheek.
"You'll call me?"
"I could come over..."
"Even better. See you later, Mikey!" I said as I walked away back to my apartment
