In the Auditorium
"Geez! They make such a huge fuss over who was the culprit of murder and thief! Seriously, it's not like they had any intention to murder that lady! She was just in the way!" Alessi said to her friends, not bothering to keep her voice low.
"Really, Alessi? How do you know this?" One of her friends asked.
"It's obvious, isn't it? Looks to me the robber simply wanted to take money. From what I read, she took €813. With all these convenience stores closing down or closing early, I doubt she would strike again!" Alessi replied confidently.
"Well, what if this robber does not work for herself? What if she is sent by an organisation to their bidding and this is only the start?" A boy who overheard their conversation asked.
"Pah! You have to be kidding. If she is indeed sent by an organisation, why was she alone? She should've at least have back up in case things went haywire! Seems unreasonable to me!"
"Forget it you're too stubborn!" The boy rolled his eyes and turned back to the stage.
"Thank you students, for coming at such short notice. As you know by now, there was a murder case not far from our school, and since the robber looked like a teenager, the police are thus here to investigate. Please give them your full cooperation for this case to be cracked."
"What?! Are you accusing us of stealing and killing?" Alessi sprang up from her seat and shouted.
"Calm down, Alessi! If you are not involved in that case, you won't get into trouble!" Her friends hissed at her, quickly pulling her back down.
The police had noticed her. "Well, this is interesting. We will begin our interrogations tomorrow, and you will each be given a time slot of when to come down to meet us. We advise to reveal any information you might have, and to relay it to us in order to solve this case." The Chief of Police said. Turning around, he told his partner, "Please start giving out the time slots."
"Each time slot is 10 minutes, so please use the time wisely to answer our questions and reveal any information you might have. For any provided alibis, you will need evidence for whatever you say, and do note that if you are caught providing the wrong information or your alibi does not match the evidence, you will be brought to the police station for further interrogation. Evidence will include witnesses, official document papers, or live footage."
Murmurings started sprouting up everywhere within the auditorium. People knew what would happen. If the murderer was indeed in this school somewhere, it would not be long before she was caught.
Some however, were excited because they skip school for 10 minutes tomorrow.
"Really?! Is that the sole reason you are excited?! It's only 10 minutes! What's there to be excited about?!" Someone barked at his friend.
??? POV:
Oh no. The police have come to this school to investigate the murder I committed. I need to stay calm and provide a suitable and convincing alibi to fool them enough. At least they do not know how I look like. But since the police are here, I might as well have some fun with them. Surely they only suspect one killer...
But that Alessi...she spoke too much. She came close to the idea that we were an organisation. We might have to finish her off. That would probably do a huge service to the school anyway. A lot of students hate her personality. But this one more murder would probably give us all away. It is better to wait until the police let down their guard, and strike where they least expect it. Better if I can frame someone else...after all one should know that these are times of unease.
